Early days but seems a bit Scowcroft-like! Doesn't seem to have much pace, and if he is left-footed then his shooting is a tad weak if last-night is anything to go by. Also seemed to have Puncheon's turning circle.

From the two games I have watched him play I must say I don't rate him much at all. That's not to say that he wont/cant come good at some stage, however it's now we need him producing the goods. What worried me most was the lack of fight/effort he seemed to show, particularly as the game went on - guessing that's just a fitness problem. Would be delighted to be proved wrong but for me from what I have seen so far makes me think we may have signed a poor mans Connor Wickham.

Bit of a passenger and definitely doesn't offer anything different. He's strong but at best a player that needs a lot of work done. It says a lot that an out of form Benteke looks better than him.....

Sorloth is only 22, hadn't played since November/December and has had to make the step up from the Danish League to the PL in a relegation threatened team so we shouldn't have expected him to hit the ground running. He is certainly a 'Work in progress' and not yet PL ready so let's not be too harsh on him.

Not sure I saw the same game as those saying he didn't work and had a lack of fight or effort. He won virtually every ball that went to him and the United players had a torrid time trying to out muscle him. End product? No not yet... but did the team ever create enough close to the goal for him to prove himself from. Personally I thought he was a great outlet and done everything asked of him very well. Lack of fight and effort... is the last way I'd describe his performance last night. Although he does have a very clam demenor for someone so young. Very mature and level headed... possibly a Nordic trait. Edited by Goldfiinger (06 Mar 2018 6.48pm)

Held the ball up well and used it well, a great outlet when we were under pressure. And had 2 shots, which is 2 more than Benteke...

His momentum took him past defenders a few times. Doesn't use skill and trickery like Zaha but he's such a unit they can't stop him. Unfortunately the ref did at the end of the first half when he breenged past Matic as if he wasn't there so he got the ref to blow up for a "foul". FFS. He also causes chaos in the box at set pieces not because he can get away from the defender but because he can just overpower him. He had two shots I think, one miles wide and one straight at the keeper. Bit more finesse and he'll be excellent. Benteke looked more skilful last night but physically was a pussycat in comparison.

Yes he is raw, lacks pace which won’t improve, But is work in progress as still young and in this day and age not too much outlay. But along with other recent transfers feel this should have been done a while back. As too soon for premiership football at present.

As too soon for premiership football at present. He's so strong and capable of holding players off. Even big center backs like Smalling couldn't get near him. Do you need speed when you have that asset.... Personally I think he needs to learn over time when to go over under a challenge as every time he had the ball, United players had to get physical no avail. Quality player. Only real shots I think we're from outside the box. Never gonna trouble the best keeper in the world like that. Hopefully the team can create better chances for him closer to the goal. Think he'll be a great addition to the team.

Raw is the word. Clearly got ability and the physical attributes, I thought he and Benteke linked up well together a couple of times. My only complaint was him not looking up and rolling a simple pass to McArthur after the De Gea save.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |
