Not a very good performance - we had so many opportunities but messed around too much up front. A point is decent enough, but Southampton away could be a game we're really itching to win - we might well be back in the bottom 3 after Arsenal and City. My thoughts exactly. We take 1.5 points a game for the rest of the season - as we have done over the last 12 games - and we'll be fine.

Poor today. Gave the ball away too much, let Swansea have possession. Should have buried them on the break.

So that’s the end of the run of games we thought we should take some points. Now comes a much more difficult run and we are 2 points clear of the drop zone.

Only 9pts between 10th place and 20th. Any three teams from the eleven can drop at this half-way stage.

It literally took a wonder goal because Roy has got us so well drilled away from home. Very frustrating to see us so close to the relegation zone again, that's just not deserved for Roy but totally deserved for De Boer and us. Frustrating also we have Arsenal and City next. City will destroy us and Arsenal won't lose at Selhurst 2 seasons in a row. We'll probably dominate them and lose to something special or a referee from North London. This is a season of so many what-ifs. Mostly related to our chairman either hiring managers or buying players. Will be massively gutted to go down as we're far and away too good a team now but 8 games at the start of the season is a hell of an advantage to give our rivals. Fingers crossed.

Strange how we have played Swansea twice and haven't played arsenal yet?

The team were going around the pitch as if they had a 10lb bag of potatoes attached to their backs. Definitely off the pace.

Anybody who thinks we would have walked that game clearly hasn’t been watching Palace all that long: we ALWAYS f*** up games we are supposed to win or that seem easier on paper, particularly since we have won ONE game away this season. Not only that, but our record against Swansea is poor. I hoped for a point before the match for these reasons so reasonably happy really.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |
