Steve Parish's biggest mistake was sacking Alan Pardew in December 2016, when we sat outside of the relegation positions, in 17th. In the 4 games prior to Pardew's sacking we had won 1, drawn 1, lost 2 (against Man U and Chelsea) and scored 7 goals in those 4 games (7 more than the last 5 games under 2 different managers) Shame on all those who called for Pardew's head. Reminds me of the Charlton fans who wanted Alan Curbishley sacked, and look where they are now...

Steve Parish's biggest mistake was sacking Alan Pardew in December 2016, when we sat outside of the relegation positions, in 17th.
In the 4 games prior to Pardew's sacking we had won 1, drawn 1, lost 2 (against Man U and Chelsea) and scored 7 goals in those 4 games (7 more than the last 5 games under 2 different managers)

Shame on all those who called for Pardew's head.
Reminds me of the Charlton fans who wanted Alan Curbishley sacked, and look where they are now...

Agreed. Pardew was due an upswing in form and his teams always looked like they would get a goal or two which they did and were never booed.

It was an absolute nonsense excuse of a tactical set up and despite the various Parish Cock ups, no one can say he didn't back Pardew in the window. We're the Arthur over ere!

If there was a lack of fitness, we could have got a fitness coach in. Pardew's team had spirit and fight, and scored goals. He got the best out of those players, and it took a long time for Big Sam to get results. Pardew's side would never have lost 4-0 at home to Sunderland, although it might have been a 4-3 defeat.
