Not sure what you mean with who? Who could do a better job? How long is a piece of string. Steve Parish could make any number of moves to bring new blood into running the football side of the house. He seems to have done that with Freedman but its the same old story of inept transfer strategies and huge gaps in the squad, which smells like Parish again. This transfer window has been a huge failure especially in the context of having just hired a manager who likes to play possession football and pass it around the park. You seem to be missing the point I made about my nephew. Person A doing what they think is right playing connect 4 - putting the coloured chips into the holes to try to put 4 into a row, and maybe they are good at it and always win. Person B - throwing the pieces around and crying - not a good player of connect 4. At this stage of the game, we need someone who is good at being chairman of our football club. We needed to address pressing needs in the squad by executing a professional and coordinated strategy regarding transfers. Instead of trying to sign Oumar Niasse at midnight and then cocking it up over agent fees. We saved 3 or 4 million quid on waiting this long on Sakho, and all the uncertainty and noise that brought to the other deals, was it really worth it? Parish is getting obsessed about waiting late on deadline day, other clubs around us didnt do that, so why do we do it every time? The managerial appointment and then transfer window was shambolic. Parish himself said "barring disasters" we would sign 3 players yesterday, I guess then you can call it a disaster - and who is responsible for this disaster?

OK, I'm on board. Who?

I started this thread and feel a bit aggrieved that I have taken a bit of stick...Am I not allowed an opinion without getting abuse, after all it is a message board where we are allowed to express our opinions.
I still think that we are a much better club under Mr Parish...look at some of the disasters out there...Blackburn are the classic...and just because we are a bit short in certain ares of our squad makes us not a lot different from some other Premiership teams.
How many of the big boys were unable to get deals done ?
In Parish we should all trust to run our club on a stable footing and get off of his back.
Thanks for listening!!

Did we do enough to keep Big Sam ?? We here that he wanted to pack it in but to me he would have been really worth pushing the boat out to keep as our manager ?? The new appointment does not suit Palace as we don't have the players to play his style of football !!

It is about time we did recognise Parish and the others for what they have done.

No chairman at this club has come close!!

To all the doubters just ask yourselves who would you would prefer.... a man with the club at heart or some rich tycoon who will screw the club and sell it at any point without a care in the world?

Just look at the state of some clubs much bigger than us now which is solely down to poor greedy chairmen.

I just think some fans on here need a reality check once in a while...however some won't be happy whatever we do!

You don't know your Palace history. Why do you think one of the stands is named after someone?

Ok fair point although football in the 1950's was a complete different ball game to now when it comes to funding etc.

I shall rephrase my comment and happily state that I went to my first match in 1979 and in all my time Parrish is by far the best we have had.

I would also think there are many bigger clubs in the sh1t who would have loved a chairman like him.

Parish is a Palace Fan first. IF you do know of another Palace Fan who HAS £200-£500 million to risk in the premiership ....

please send him to CPFC, THANKS IN ADVANCE

....... but only to partner Steve Parish, as I would still like him to stay
