Just maybe, maybe, FDB is more qualified to make such judgements than Pundits, the media or supporters. We all have our opinions of course and they make for interesting debate ! And in any business, if you lose the backing of your employees (&supporters), even if your cause is righteous, you can never win in the long term.

You don't play Townsend the whole pre season as RWB to get him used to the position then first game leave him on the bench and put Ward in who played zero pre season and expect him to do the job. Sorry inept and clueless however well qualified. Edited by kev64 (05 Sep 2017 11.23pm)

You don't even need a great knowledge of football to put forward a game plan to beat us it's so simple. We will try to play out the back but don't look comfortable at all so play high up and continually press us while in possession, we will make mistakes and give the ball away. Be well disciplined and don't get caught out of position, when you win the ball back our wing forwards will be isolated up top so double up on the wing backs especially the right back who is useless and gets caught out of position. Don't worry about bentekes Ariel threat because they've gave up playing to his strength. You'll get chances, take them and you will win. That will be every managers pre team talk against us this season. I'd be willing to give him a chance but when bergkamp quit as his assistant because they clashed over his obsession with possession it doesn't look good. If he won't take advice from one of the greatest no 10's of all time I can't see him deciding to listen to anyone else.

AP tried it, and we went on the worst losing run of any premiership side EVER. My hope is that he is smart enough to see, he asked the players for too much to soon, and will revert to a style more suited to us, with a few tweaks here and there, not just flash to bang in a matter of weeks. If he insists on HIS way, and we lose to Burnley he will be gone by Monday and Judas will take the reigns. We are becoming a Joke, and the buck has to stop somewhere, does it not?

In Remember, Pardew only delivered 1 point from his first three games last season and Big Sam lost 4 in a row during January this year even before the painful 4 nil loss to Sunderland in Feb.

Yes, but 2 of them were narrow 1-0 defeats, one of which was at Tottenham. We then went on to win the next 3 league games. It does seem bizarre that the narrative is about a newly appointed manager going after 3 or 4 games.

I have had people who support other clubs and some other people as well contact me about what is going on at our club. They all find it incredulous that the narrative is about a new manager being under pressure for losing 3 games. Some have said that FDB appears very demure, not inspirational and doesn't appear to be happy at all and this might 'Feed' into the mindsets of those who are calling for his head.

Sunderland hold that dubious honour. We lost five in a row. Pretty confident that plenty of others have suffered that too.

At the time it was the lowest points to games ratio of any club in a professional league in Europe. He's trying to do to much to soon. It won't work.
