The tories have cut the police, army and prisons ruthlessly and they are not effective. I blame Mrs May for the fact I cannot go anywhere safely in my area and I relate it directly to her ruthless cuts as Home Secretary. Only a complete reversal of tory policies will help in my opinion. You would have to be close to the ground like a police officer on his community beat to understand what is going on.

Tragic to wake up to last night's events. Third terrorist attack within short window of time however police and emergency services have on each occasion responded heroically and at considerable speed. Given that Intelligence Services are aware of over 2000 known jihadis and that the former's resources are stretched, should it now be time to incur internment against those who may pose the greatest risk to the public? The Government will be accused of inflaming civil liberties but there are at least seven innocent victims from last night who had their civil liberties taken permanently with their families bereft at such a needless, heartless loss. Also recommended by Col Richard Kemp, ex-member of COBRA and the Joint Intelligence Committee.

Obviously I don't have all the answers but we have been far too tolerant for too long and firm and decisive action needs to be taken which will clearly upset the 'Civil liberties' brigade. The other night I overheard a retired Police Officer saying that they are operating with one hand tied behind their back and was very critical of Clegg when he was in the coalition government. A financial settlement is made with another Islamic country. Possibly one which is near one hundred percent Muslim like Egypt. Then you strip them of citizenship so they can't come back. Like I have said many times previously we would have to change human rights law in this country for anything to be done.

Edited by Willo (04 Jun 2017 12.29pm) What you mean the enemies of the state?.....In Chakrabarti's case a decorated one. This is a battle that should have come a long time ago. We shall see if it happens now.
