Now if you happen to live next to a Legal Traveller site....

And as a defender of the moral high ground, I suppose you would be really happy if a load of Travelers parked their caravans on your front lawn? Is my front lawn a legal traveller encampment site... The problem seems here to be the notion of disliking people for no rational reason other than being a racist / xenophobe or bigot. And objecting to something on fairly reasonable grounds.

There you go again.Miss (deliberately?)the point and have a gratuitous pop at Travellers (who,by the way,are not Roma).Colonel Blimp's grandchild ? I wouldn't want anyone uninvited (particularly someone like you or Willo) moving into my front garden. But,funnily enough,I shared a flat while at uni with a bloke who was Roma. Decent guy and a good songwriter/guitarist.In fact, almost certainly better neighbour material than the likes of you or Willo Edited by legaleagle (20 Apr 2017 4.56pm) What about if the KLu Klux Klan moved in next door or the BNP set up their head office across the road?

We should all be locked up at birth for being white English people and never let out ever again. Terrible people that we are.

What about personal experience? Is that not allowed? I'd imagine so. My granddad always hated Germans, because of the war. It was understandable, irrational and stupid, and even he admitted that (and the only person who really suffered or missed out was him). But its understandable. A lot of his friends died in the war, and he experienced some truly horrific things (mostly ironically as an ARP). It think its generally something people understand, but its still really stupid to essentially be prejudiced against a whole nation, even those who weren't even born during the war.

The Klan, I'd definitely have an issue with, they're a terrorist group of religiously inspired extremists - with a disturbing history of violence and links to terrorist groups in the US and beyond. The BNP, I'd be a bit concerned, mostly for them as I do live in a largely multicultural area, with a very large student population. Still, as long as they're not causing trouble what business of mine is it where they have their office.

Well, by people who are Roma. True.If you go to some of the places where the less well known holocaust took place by the fascists against Roma in C and E Europe, they are generally called "gypsies",as a pejorative term, by many of the rest of the population and all too often still subject to pretty abysmal second class citizen status
