Just back from the game.

All the players gave 110% workrate against a very physical and dirty Watford team led by that arch villan Deeney.

The score could have been greater but Benteke fluffed some chances but fairplay he worked bloody hard throughout.

Wayne pulled off a good save that was going into the bottom corner.

A very important three points.

Well done boys.

If REmy is nearing fitness, then be bold and drop Beneteke.

Amen. He can do more on modest service I think and creates more for himself, Benteke is more of a target man.

Remi cant play up front as a target man, needs to play with Benteke, but can't see that happending much.

Next game is Chelski away so has to be Tekkers and his banjo.

Benteke just needs a goal of any sort. No doubt that back in October he'd have hit both of those opportunities, he's just over thinking it.

The rest of his game was great today. Especially when his 'service' is still a bit non existent.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Benteke is lacking confidence, that much is obvious. Can't fault his holdup play and he worked much harder than usual today. He'll know he should've worked the keeper at the very least with those 2 chances late on but then Zaha and Cabaye both had decent chances to hit the target and didn't either. All in all we probably didn't deserve to win as we didn't test the keeper but the 3 points start to make up for the ones we lost when we couldn't defend for toffee after ourfront line were banging in goals.
Watford are a real dirty bunch of players and made it very hard to get the ball down and play, I'd love to see them fall apart and go down last game of the season.

Yes. A goal or 2 in recent games under his belt and that best chance gets drilled into the far corner or over the keeper's shoulder into the net. Because he fluffed the previous one with his left instead of getting his instep and big toe round it he didn't do the natural thing and larrup the best one on his right.

Pity WH couldn't beat LC as we would have gone above LC on GD.

The still have to come to South London, so we can get them then.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

We bounce balls off opposition players' arses. Worked today.

I know it's hard to tell the difference, but that was Deeney's head the ball bounced off.

That would destroy the team shape and require all-new tactics after we just got our heads around the current-new tactics.

Don't mess with the formula that's working. We're winning games playing well and winning games playing badly*.

* Watford are a bunch of dirty cheats, and a more alert ref would not have let them get away with it all game. They offered nothing else save one long range shot.
