I guess that it's probably fitting to judge Amaral by his face as we have judged Gerry McCann by his. Touche! Amaral is a very shifty customer if you care to follow this case from the start and he has told many lies and deceived our police on many occasions and is not just his face that gives the shifty illusion. Read his books and see the sh1te he has written just to make a few pounds on many occasions.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Still, it's slightly more palatable if he was trying to milk it for a few quid than...say....the parents of the missing kid milking it for a few quid....

Reading in the Mail today (and therefore I accept it could be bollocks) that the McCanns have said they are now prepared to take a lie detector test to clear their names. I agree with Jamie's previous comments that lie detector tests tend to be faulty. I'm not sure if this is win:win for them or lose:lose. From their point of view, if they pass it they'll claim it clears them and potentially continue to pursue libel cases. If they fail they'll say it's inaccurate. On the flip side, if they pass it a lot of the public will say it's inaccurate and proves nothing. If they fail the public will consider it proof. In summary - pointless, but it doesn't seem something a guilty couple would agree to after all this time. Or is it a very clever bluff?

Polygraphs can be defeated. At best it is a guide and at worst unreliable about if someone is telling the truth. Only the Americans' put great store by them. Of course, the whole tragedy for the little girl could have been avoided if they hadn't put their own plans to go out above the safety of their daughter. Edited by Dweeb (30 Mar 2017 12.34pm)

You just know the type of people that would sign a petition to get them to do a lie test. Same confused, thick mob that would attack a paeda (trician) for being a paedo (phile).

Yes, I follow a Facebook page on the subject and you are bang right. I never contribute to it...no reason to, but more than half the contributors are exactly as you've described. I do try to pay no attention to the obvious nonsense.
