Just for the record - I cannot think of one single occasion where I have ever seen WH punch the ball - so that was never going to happen, For such a tall guy who cannot get down low, you would at lease expect him to command his box in the air. We get neither.

My tone ??? nothing wrong there - maybe it's how you read it??? Its no different to yours. Maybe you are just trying to deflect from the point that you have no special insight into Speroni's form?

It was clearly a foul - the Sunderland player barged into him after the ball had gone. But, hey, let's not allow facts to get in the way of your argument. NO it was not a foul the ball had left Hennessy and was flying into the net when he got "barged" as you call it. Players always bump into each other in situations like that. The fault lies with Hennessey as all the pundits media etc have said he should have either grabbed the ball or punched it really hard. Thing is he does this most of the time.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I was at the game - unlike you - and from my angle (directly in line) it was definitely a foul.

It wasn't a foul. The guy is a constant liability, a league 1 keeper at best. It's an utter disgrace that Jules has to watch on as this idiot keeps getting starts over him.

As for "Deflect", I think our debate on here is deflecting attention away from the subject matter so let's get back on 'Track'. Many thanks. Edited by Willo (05 Feb 2017 11.38am)

No it wasn't a foul - Hennessey should have been far more dominating and assertive in dealing with the situation. I know people will disagree with me but we all have our own opinions and HOL would be very tedious if we all agreed with one another on every occasion. Edited by Willo (05 Feb 2017 11.39am)

Just plucked up the courage to watch highlights on GOS. My opinion, it wasn't a foul. Even IF it was, WH should have been strongest enough to just bounce him off and cling or punch away the ball.

Perhaps cpj should read what you put Willo as he is convinced Wayne was fouled even though we all know he was not. Edited by Willo (05 Feb 2017 11.39am)
