Eventhough the clubs had agreed a fee, I doubt he wants to move. He is an Arsenal supporter, so he is going to want to stay there as long as he can. Putting his wage demands was just a way of scuppering the deal. If he really wanted to play football, he would have accepted the terms, which as I understand were exactly the same as he is on now. I don't rate him that much anyway. I have zero respect for the man. Play football , get paid well or at best sit on the bench . What a complete .... Parrot

How come it's taken this long to find out what the player expects in terms of wages ? I would have thought that was discussed early in negotiations. Anyway, not disappointed personally as I don't rate Jenkinson that much.

He and his agent think he is worth more than he apparently is. Very average at best, dodged a bullet with him, not better than we currently have.

He is a right back - maybe if Ward is allowed to have some time back in his rightful position then he would have been surplus to requirements anyway.

If we ruled out every player with a greedy agent then I doubt we'd sign many players. An agent's job is to get the best deal he can for his client, if a player is on £40,000 now why wouldn't he try and get £50,000? If the club says 'No, £40,000 is as high as we'll go' then the player can decide to move, sit out his existing contract, or wait and see if a better offer comes in from elsewhere. We may not like it but I think that's how the world works.
