Ridiculous. We played plenty of hoof ball under Pardew. It takes more than 4 years to be an entertaining, established top 10 team in the PL. I class winning more than 6 out of the next 38 games as moving forward, and I think 'ol moon face pint o wine will deliver that and a mid table finish. Fine by me

Can't wait to watch 10 men behind the ball at home.

I'd prefer Hodgson to Allardyce. Has got a lot of criticism for his time at England and rightly so but there are some gems amongst his club management career that we shouldn't ignore.

Better than picking the ball out of the net 3-5 times in games we need to win some of them, or 'being in games' only to f*** it up in the last 10 mins due to a bizarre sub or players not matching oppo fitness. Soon we will be competitive again rather than viewed as the chance of a swift 3 points.

He's 69. A 69 is good in principle but is never enjoyable as wished by both parties.

Steve Parish sacked AP just before Christmas, who would have thought that? yes, we have a unique chairman and whoever comes in will have my 100% support. 6 wins in 38 will NEVER happen under Sam Allardyce. And if he comes, guess he will be Big Sam after his first victory (at home to Swansea?)..Merry Christmas everyone, think this was the best present all Eagles fans could have wished for.

I think we would of stayed up but that's irrelevant now anyway, with the results he deserved that sack, there's no denying that but we wasn't far off from being a good team. We was far from being this year's villa like some would have you belive. Allardyce will do a job but I'm massively underwhelmed, staying up will be likely but not guaranteed. Boring football is, o well hopefully when we're more established we can go for someone more positive.

You got your wish now let's see the consequences.

..no pain no gain, we all felt the pain watching our defending, Pardew included and I believe the pain would have subsided, but with Allardyce we will all need morphine to put ourselves out of the misery, no managers mentioned will be any the wiser than the one we just stupidly booted out.
