I was wrong. Said he'd save Sunderland. I was right. I think he'll see us well safe...... Sad he lost the England job because it was good to see for a change someone showing his excitement to be in the job and hopefully transmit that passion into the players. I don't agree with the people claiming he was happy cos he'd make more money on the fiddle. He was played by a broadsheet, his agent c0cked up having him there and Sam was naive and foolish. What's important is what he can do for us on the pitch and that is positive enough to go for it IMO. In a few years time is like to think we'd go more progressive if you like but we are where we are and as the scouting of players is non existent there isn't going to be much analysis or scouting of managers either.

It is possible that whilst no laws were broken, FA rules were thus leading to a sanction. It may also be the case that Sam will not be involved but given we don;t know the outcome it would be prudent to insure ourselves against such an event

I agree it was a shame as i don't remember any manager taking over any team looking as happy as he did. He was literally giggling like a child. However why do you think that the papers targeted him and not say Hodgson? Usually when these stings happen it is because they know there is something a bit whiffy about the character. Not necessarily dishonest but definitely whiffy. Given the hoo ha I thought the published case against him was actually pretty poor, which is one of the reasons I do wonder what else will come out

Despite the appalling league results in 2016, I thought Alan Pardew would turn things around. I'm sad to see him leave but fully appreciate the increasing inevitability that "something had to be done". Whatever his faults, He genuinely seemed to have an emotional connection to the club and I respect him for that and thank him for all his efforts. I have to admit to having conflicted thoughts about Sam Allardyce. Given our league position I accept he's the best candidate to get us out of the mess we're in and avoid relegation. After a miserable 12 months, excepting the FA Cup run, just going to Selhurst Park and anticipating a few wins will be something to look forward to. However, Sam Allardyce represents to me so much of what is bad about modern football. The ignominious manner of his departure from the England manager's job encapsulates that. Personally, I feel very uncomfortable that he is likely to be associated with the team I have supported since 1952.

Yeah possibly, Goch. Hopefully we insure ourselves with regards to this, Sam agrees which he probably will knowing how the longer you're out of the game, the harder it is to get back in. If it's in the Summer it may actually be used positively by Parish again if you like rather than a correctional appointment again.

Why would you sack someone 3 days before xmas for 'a change' its back to the old manager-go-round like a revolving door. If Parish compounds this with a foolish appointment its the clubs reputation and his on the line and for what.

Just saw Frazier Campbell liked the CPFC official announcement! Quite amusing. New manager will love that I'm sure?!
Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy! |

Rebuild the ground, actually have a competitive scouting network. You know, bring the club into this century. Can't do that relegated.

Also following the results against teams that nobody in football anywhere in the world would expect to go the other way ..and in the previous game it took a huge slice of luck AGAIN to spoil his day during the first half ...and I don't need to remind posters how that sort of decision leaves scars on the players minds and unnecessary worry for the rest of the game in which the player and ref who did the unnecessary are happily allowed to carry on ferking it in the arse and giving it the large. it's been a combination of calamity and farce nothing of which had very much to do with Pardew, most of it you couldn't make up.

Excitement of losing every week and being in danger of relegation all season and definite relegation form for 12 months. Yep, I'll miss that excitement. Don't forget, people weren't that excited at Swansea going ahead were they?

More twaddle and waffle. He's not good enough and gone. Get over it. You can excuse some things here and there but for as long as he? Nah. If it was bad luck one week it'd be sh1t decisions the next or more bad luck because he was relying on luck because of poor management. Id rather not rely on luck.
