Not sure if this has been posted, but Pards talkin, Pap's should be fine although out for about 6 months.

Good news really considering...

IMO he's an integral part of the team, it'll be good to have him back. But now others get a chance to impress. If they do well then it may quell all the nerves we had regarding LB depth. Time will tell.

My first thought was "it looks like he's been photoshopped in". Then read the article about how he'd been photoshopped in and it was undetectable. Really?

Yeah, when I read the headline I was hoping for something really out the ordinary - like Pardew giving him a piggy back or him being held up by a complicated pulley system - must admit an average photoshop was disappointing.

Yeah similar. I was thinking the club might have done something valiant. In my mind I think I thought they'd built something for him to stand or sit on that would allow him to be in the photo comfortably whilst the contraption was hidden from view.

The research that went into the article was good too. They just had a guess as to whether we'd used someone from the youth team to pop his face on. I'm sure if somebody from the paper just asked the club they'd be very open about it, so it's a bit annoying the paper just took a punt!

Clearly your expectations were far more sensible than mine. I honestly had a picture of balloons and pigeons in my head - I really need to get some sleep.

Haha, I didn't really twig to that first time round but a very good point - lazy journalism at it's best. Makes me wonder if they researched at all or if they have taken a punt on the photoshopping too - perhaps he is being held up by a contraption made from pigeons, balloons, pulleys and Pardew... I'm going to choose to believe that.
