Thomas Rosidsky not sure I spelt that right contract not renewed by Arsenal because he is 32.

Has tormented Palace in the past may be still available.

As said a few months back Jordan Ayew from Villa. Scored half a dozen goals last season for a very poor side. Reckon with better/motivated players around him would improve on this tally. Villa have said that he is staying but reckon with McCormack joining could easily be prised away. Wouldn't cost the earth either, leaving more money to sign a "bigger" name.

His Euro penalty aside, I would look to go for Zaza at Juventus. After they signed Higuan, he must be surplus to requirements and hopefully that penalty has knocked a few bob off his value

Not that I am suggesting that I want these two, but I reckon we'll end up with someone like Victor Anichebe and James Wilson on loan both on or a day or two before deadline day.

We have signed three excellent players this window, but it looks like once again we'll end up short changed up front.

Three excellent players, one surplus to requirements at Wet Spam, a French number two keeper, and Townsend.

IMO we have signed two players who are better than what we currently have the keeper and Townsend, Townsend being better than Wilf or Bolaise,

Still no striker.

Going back to Long a minute does anyone else think he could be a good shout or am I in a minority of 1

He's nearly 36, always injured and not a striker

If we got Benteke in for the big bucks we'll have to pay, Anichebe could be a realistic signing to be our 3rd choice striker as he's a free agent.

No, Long may work. So that makes 2.

However, your downer on Tomkins is frankly odd. We have been screaming for years for a good young CB and in he walks. And on the subject of surplus to requirements, a couple of Hammers fans at work were shocked when it happened as he is properly rated by them.

I'll be perfectly honest and say I've never bloody heard of him, but it would appear that he ain't goin' anywhere:

I'd love Long but I think I'm right in saying he's just signed a new 4 yr contract at Southampton and with them selling Pele surely he'll play a big part for them this season..?

Glad to see several suggesting Bony. I'd be more than happy if we could rescue him from City. I could see him fitting in better than Benteke and costing us less.

Just read that City are offering Bony at maybe just £13m. It's suggested Swansea are at the front of the queue. Wish we could get him at this price.
