The Prisoner. Or it was when I last saw it in its entirety back in the mid 80s. Might look a bit dated now but it befuddled a lot of people when it first aired in 1967.

Comedy

- The Simpsons
- Friends
- Men Behaving Badly
- Only Fools and Horses
- Father Ted

Drama

- Dexter
- Game of Thrones
- Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul
- Fargo
- Quantum Leap

Honourable mentions: Alan Partridge, Peep Show, The Office, Fringe, Red Dwarf, The League, BoJack Horseman, Bottom, Frasier

As an added aside I would like to say that I think True Detective is the most overrated, boring and pretentious load of guff ever made.

Breaking bad is very good
Game of thrones
Supernatural
Dexter (although it does go down towards the end)

But for me nothing gets close to Sons Of Anarchy...the show is just a masterpiece and has everything, if you haven't watched it or not got into it I advise you do so, thank me later

Some good TV mentioned already. Some not so good.

I recently watched all the X files and really enjoyed it again. I've just begun watching Lost and I am enjoying it already. I can't believe that it is 11 years since it was first on TV.
I would mention Life on Mars/Ashes To Ashes. Surely one of the best British shows of recent years.
