I think we can agree now that Gayle was NOT a waste of money. He may never make it in the top flight. That may be his last ever top flight goal. But maybe not. We paid 4 million or whatever for the gamble that his potential may pay off. Based on this season we now know several things.
1. He knows how the f&&& to finish.
2. He has a lot to work on.
3. He knows how the f&&& to finish.
4. He knows how the f&&& to finish.
5. The potential is there and if any man can help him find it, it's Tony f***ing Pulis.

I am guessing that Gayle will start against Fulham, score and become our top scorer.

Great flick from Murray for Gayle's second, wanted to see that partnership. Looks decent. Hope it starts against Fulham

We saw it at Peterborough, and we always knew it at Palace, even from the warm-up at the Crawley friendly: Gayle can finish. Tonight he was able to take advantage of a tired, confused, frankly dreadful spell of Liverpool defending, but for the rest of the season his movement has not been Prem quality. If we use him as a final 20-minute destroyer next season, whilst training him on his movement, he could be a great player.
