I have a new addition but I'm not sure it will fit - the entire fekkin 1960's politically correct, smug liberal hippy, baby boomer generation. God I'm bored of them. For short - lets call them the Liberal Orthodox Establishment because they are now the establishment. The old landed gentry, plum-in-mouth establishment, that they sought to destroy has gone and has been replaced by a new establishment that is just as bloated, self satisfied and self seeking as the old one.
The LOE is now such an established Establishment that it can't comprehend or tolerate those who hold other views. Anyone who holds right wing views must, by definition, be racialist and homophobic. The idea that right wing views have an honourable place in the political, economic and cultural structure of our country has no place within the LOE who have no conception of how the minds of such people work because they never meet them. They live within metropolitan enclaves and work in the chattering classes. Places such as the BBC and the educational system are completely insulated from the world of conservative rural areas and the real working class. You only have to look at the unreal world of Eastenders created by "right on" liberal BBC Guardianista scriptwriters to see how far detached they are from the way that real working class people live. Their patronising agenda permeates every scene.
The LOE has won every battle to gain control of the educational and media battlegrounds and has reigned supreme under the present administration. I wonder though if there are signs that they have reached a high water mark. I hear growing signs of discontent. In everyday conversation there is whispered discontent about political correct dogmas being forced down your throat and the indoctrination of the young to try and make them well rounded but illiterate little eco-hippies. I wonder if there is a sea change due to take place where a new right wing intelligencia will start to attack the embedded assumptions of the last 20 or so years. I think that the LOE will be unable to deal with it any more than the old establishement were able to deal with the angry young men of the 50's and 60's. I hope it happens because we need it as a culture. I dont see it being led by the current conservatives though.

Further evidence if any was required that the educational establishment is dominanted by liberals who hate everything to do with British culture.

I accept that you are entitled to your viewpoint but if you air it like this then you must accept a bit of criticism.

Things that the majority of BNP and other Right wing supporters believe and love:
1. The British Passport. Accepted everywhere cos we is better than every uvver country!
2. St George. He's our patron saint, remeber his day and have his flag flying from your house. He is everything that is English: courage, determination and a massive lance!
3. The Queen (and the late Queen Muvver) Gawd Bless 'er.
4. The Pound £££. Strongest currency in the world
5. The Empire. Biggest one ever, the sun never set on it. We rule the waves Grrr!
6. Being British. We're better than any one else. We are the master race. 'Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Fuhrer!'

Now while these are things to be proud of they aren't british.
1. Look on the front of the passport, the writing is in french isn't it?
2. St George was from Turkey. Go on, look it up, see if you ever do a pitch invasion at that match again!
3. The Queen is half scottish (her mum) and half German (her dad's side) and she's married to a Greek. That Greek man happens to share great-great-grandparents. Nothing like inbreeding to make you pround of the country!
4. Look on the side of the pound. Latin? go on translate it. Oh I forgot you can't because that requires an appreciation of other cultures.
5. The Empire. Very cool part of our history, true (Although we acted a little bit like b*stards on occasion). What's not so cool is how it crumbled before our eyes and we've left the impoverished countries to sort out the mess into which we helped them to get.
6. Being British. After the Romans, the Norse, The Saxons (and Angles) The French and even the Dutch came over Raping and Pillaging, can anyone claim to be really English, Scots, or Welsh? Not for more than maybe 4 or 5 generations back. If Enlgand had always had a policiy of sending immigrants 'back where they came from' how many of use would exist? None

You don't Like gays? Well lets hope that you end up with many of your BNP Buddies doing a month or two at her (Not very english) majesty's pleasure. After a week or two in the showers you'll forcibly have your mind changed for you.

Live and let live mate. C'mon, as long as these people don't actually make you life a misery directly then don't worry about it. They're not going to make you watch!

'The daily mirror' Well, ok. They do call Mark Lawrenson 'Football's number one expert.' For that reason they can go down.

And I really hate Sprouts!

That was EXCELLENT reading, made me laugh ! brilliant, thanks (first time I saw it, how the hell did I miss all this ??)!

Well, apart from sprouts of course, they're lush

Jolystef makes some good points but I am at a loss to understand the "no-one is really British anyway" argument. How long do your ancesters have to populate a country before they become an integral part of it? Those people whose families have lived in Australia for the last 100 years, (or less), seem to have no difficulty in seeing themselves as Australian, to love their country and defend it vigorously against all comers. Good for them - why shouldnt they?
So, the fact that my ancestors have been British for as long as we can trace our family tree, (over 300 years), might give me some claim to feel that I am pretty well rooted here. Even if I didnt have this history I was born here and every part of my outlook was created as being part of a distinctly British culture.
What on Earth is wrong with being proud of your culture and its achievements? The list of artistic, scientific, industrial and socio political achievments that this country can lay claim to goes on and on. We have had some staggering achievements.
The liberal view that the British Empire was evil is a childish bit of propaganda which deliberately pre-supposes that about 300 years of our foreign policy was wrong in all places and at all times. This is "proven" by identifying the empire with the slave trade to such an extent that todays schoolchildren belive that this was the empires raison detre and the sole basis of its existence.

I'd put in the BNP for a start

Then probably Marmite and Vegemite

I'd also put in the security employed by the royal festival hall. I am 19 years old, and just cos im a guy, and male youths have vandalized the building, they wont let me use the toilet when i need it. I believe this is infringement of human rights. If this is, please let me know and i will sue them for denying the public to use their facilities.

Edit: If it wasnt for the government allowing foreigners into the country, neither my brother or I would be here now as our dad is from guyana and so are his parents, who moved here in the 60s.
