It's a fact that the cenotaph was defaced last week, both with graffiti, in several locations and in that situation of a woman trying to light a flag while another tried to pull a flag down. The Police did not stop this from happening, yet they have stopped today's counter protesters reaching monuments which they actually revere. Yes it was vandalised and that's not acceptable. But also what's not acceptable is reporting that it was besieged, tried to be burnt down and police did nothing. That is not FACT. And that is what my point was. It is not helpful and it will contribute to further unnecessary ugly scenes from both sides in my opinion. Also the way I viewed it from the video was that the person was not trying to pull it down but pulled it out of the hand of the person who was trying to light it. It's impossible to prove either way tbh. From what I've seen today people have been allowed to stand around the statues but not cross certain lines in order to try to avoid trouble occurring between other groups. This has led to some trouble mainly instigated by people there with no genuine intentions.

Figures released, this week 2 police officers needed hospital treatment, last week 60 odd, so much for the peaceful protests last week Firstly The day is not done yet. Let’s wait until the final tally comes in Secondly my point is the same - you’re implying that the lefts thuggery of last week was not covered, or was marginalised I disagree I’ve provided pretty logical reasoning as to why the police may have not engaged with them last week - maybe comment on the post rather than your agenda
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

Exactly. That is a more responsible and realistic representation. And police did move in contrary to what he reported. So the original Tweet is just trying to fan the flames and get people further riled. But I have had a quick scroll through his page and it reads like a set of sports updates where he seems to be excited by any potential act of violence. These are sad times. So you didn't click on the tweet. Where the full photo shows the graffiti. Or see the post after mine. And condone the attempted burning of our national flag. Why do you think people get annoyed by that sort of behaviour?

Why do you think people get annoyed by that sort of behaviour? I'm confused. I did click it. That's why I said it was a more responsible report. The original tweet I was criticising was: "When the Cenotaph was besieged by the mob trying to burn it down last week, the police did nothing. Now it’s being protected by patriots and veterans they move in in full riot gear. Maybe “Defund the Police” will unité left and right in Britain?" And very little of this is a genuine representation of the situation. Which was the point I was making.

Whatever, the cenotaph was deliberately defaced and the Police allowed this to happen. There is video of it being defaced in real time and the Police did nothing. Yet today... Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Jun 2020 8.02pm)

The MSM said nothing. Then the police turned up in riot gear to move on people who were angry that they allowed it. And then the MSM call those trying to protect it thugs. If you want to call out the misreporting of this, try and deduce why the police allow one protest, but not another, and the reporting of "peaceful" protesting by BLM, and "violence" by "right wing thugs".
