I have a lot of sympathy with Wilf even though he was silly doing what he did. Edited by The Dolphin (01 Feb 2019 7.10am)

At the bottom of the screen you can see Ward-Prouse cheering and fist pumping to the crowd. He is a horrible little toe-rag!

How many more claps did you count after he was sent off.... It's interesting that this did not happen as it is a common occurance in matches. I guess it's the captain's responsibility to step in and defuse these situations. Maybe it happended too quickly for Luca to react but at the very least Wilf should have been quietly shepherded off the pitch. Unfortunately we may have a long wait to see Wilf, Andros and Michy in action together.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf Ban' by Midlands Eagle Why don’t the players retaliate? First player that takes out Wilf gets hammered. And then the next and so on. The ref would then have to do something about it. Yes there would be yellows but at least opposition would know they’re gonna get it back.

Can you imagine Roy Keane letting this happen to one of his teammates? "Next one of you to go in on him are getting your legs broken" then keep your word. It would soon cut this out. As it is, the refs have the hump with zaha and are hanging him out to dry. Nobody is putting pressure on them to do their job. A couple of nasty retaliatory challenges and all of a sudden they've not got an easy life and have to take control.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf Ban' by Midlands Eagle I understand the frustration but the referees are so appalling that you just know our player would be sent off for clattering someone who had just fouled Wilf. I think the players should be in the ref's ear constantly. 'How about a yellow for that?' 'that was a bad foul there, ref' - constantly. We all hated it when Rooney did it but you can't help feeling it worked. Nothing that would call for a yellow, just a constant stream of reminders that he should be doing his job. I don't see our players doing enough of that.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf Ban' by Midlands Eagle I don’t know how Wilf has managed to keep his cool before the Saints game... he has been kicked up in the air week in week out and the officials seem to do very little to protect him... Who noticed Ward Prowes in the Southampton game celebrating getting Wilf sent off? The spawny little Kunt!
