Probably the cold-hearted realists amongst them. Israel is a tiny country. Surrounded by people who are out-breeding it. Its ONLY chance of long-term survival is by way of effectively turning it into a pure ethno-state.

I am utterly convinced that this plan has been decades in the making and the goal to see the Palestinian population from within Israel removed.

You cannot have any kind of long-term solution when you effectively lock up over 2 million people in a concentration camp (and that is what Gaza is). In the West Bank they literally steal land and houses, pour concrete into wells, tear up Olive groves that have been people's income for hundreds of years.

There is no solution other than ethnic cleansing for Israel. Question is do YOU want Europe to bear the brunt of that? Because I don't.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Why not? Imagine a 95% ethnically Jewish Israel. It will import workers to do the manual labour from places such as Thailand and India. There is no external pan Arab threat as there was in the 60's and 70's along with Israel having nuclear weapons.

The Palastinian people will be scattered all over with no base from which to plan a return and within a generation or two, effetively absorbed into whichever poor b******s are lumbered with them.

The Israel lobby already has a vastly disproportionate impact on global politics and is managing to effectively keep any oppostion to what it is doing firmly in check hence western leaders falling over themselves to excuse what is going on.

This is no conspiracy theory. This is the only rational way of understanding this.

Egypt has threatened to suspend and cancel all the agreements it currently has that maintain recognition with Israel if Palestinians have been evicted from Gaza and into Egypt.

Not sure they are going to get much of a choice.....It's pretty dicey for Sisi if it happens he could get overthrown.

Dicey and spicy if Israel do it....as Egypt and Hamas are not friends.
