Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Lerma and Doucoure as DMs and Eze down the centre behind Edoude. The bench will be interesting!

I agree, though I think in practice it will be more like a 433 with Eze to the left of the midfield three, albeit with licence to roam in the knowledge that Lerma will tuck in. The great unknown is Franca. Injury aside, he's very young and in a totally new environment so we should be prepared to be patient. That said, I can't see Palace paying that much for a development prospect so I expect him to play. What will that do to the starting XI? I'd guess he'll be coming off the bench and starting occasionally for the first half of the season, much like Olise and Eze did to begin with. Unless we sign someone before the window closes (certainly not impossible), I'd expect the team to stay pretty stable for the first six to eight weeks. My main hope is that Eze isn't moved to the left wing.

Apparently going to make a £10m bid for Che Adams. 104 goals in 416 career appearances, is he really better than what we already have? Surely there has to be someone tearing up a lower European league worth taking a punt on who won't ask for £60k a week.

Only Tompkins came on for a limping Guehi late on which confirms my statement re subs. I can see the same on monday but playing deeper and breaking away fast though Eze.

I wouldn't mind having him as an option, but hopefully the report of doubling his wages is rubbish. If he was on 30k in the prem then he can stay on that plus it's hardly like he's got tonnes of offers. But we offered Zaha 80k more despite no club seemingly even matching his original wages - so we've got previous with throwing money away.

The trouble with lower European leagues is thy are mostly rubbish, its chalk and cheese, Adams is a decent player, hard working, IMHO good buy for 10m, especially if we can get 10m for Mateta.
