However, the technology has taken significant steps forward in the last five years. The next significant downturn.....when companies look to cut jobs down to the bone.....that's when automation is going to become far more visible. For one example there are massive numbers of jobs in freight......and while you are going to need 'last mile' drivers the reality is jobs are going to be reduced significantly.....That technology is coming pretty soon. But it isn't just blue collar jobs. Lots of white collar jobs are going to go as well. Glad I could cheer you all up....I'm available for celebrations and party invites. What jobs will still be around in 20 years? Genuinely 'people' jobs and jobs that require real 'creativity'. Essentially jobs where humans require another human being to have a connection to.....social worker. Also....somehow I don't think many people will be interested in watching music created by robots....They will want to follow human bands and artists. Anyway I don't think it will be quite as bad as....for example this article below predicts but I do think it's going to be major. A child under five now, simply isn't going to have the same job choices. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Jun 2018 10.01am)

We can talk about universal basic income as a tool to mollify the population but in general.....a lot of young people with nothing to do doesn't tend to end well....especially young males. It's a natural state of being....idle hands and all that

Tweet from Peter Fonda: We should rip Barron Trump from his mother's arms and put him in a cage with peadophiles and see if mother will stand up against the giant arsehole she is married to. Another tweet: Get the addresses of the ICE agents, CBP agents and surround their homes in protest. We should find out what schools their children go to and surround their schools in protest. These agents are doing this because they want to. They like doing this.

A lot of middle class and societal elites don't get why Trump is popular. They just put it down to what they consider white racism and low IQ working class people being fooled by a billionaire telling them he's one of them. They don't get it. He isn't fooling them. Trump is extremely rich but everything about him screams working class. I know it's silly and in some ways it's absurd because he just isn't....but it's the difference between him winning with the working class and the supposedly democratic party fighting for the downtrodden just couldn't get the numbers. Trump actually likes to eat at McDonalds....it isn't just for photo opportunities. Trump likes wrestling and other non nerdy sports. Trump talks like a typical working class blue collar worker.....it's not put on, it's how he talks. Trump has always had that brusque manner of saying what he thinks and damn what you think about it. That resonates with the working classes who have grown tired with PC culture and its virtue signalling obsession. Trump thinks in terms of 'American Exceptionalism' and that also plays to the working class and higher.

You think the media is 'entirely right wing propaganda with a couple of self congratulatory left wing'? If you don't mind, how old are you? Perhaps this is a generational thing. I remember Sky News before it was detached from Murdoch. That could be called right wing but I'm genuinely struggling to think of right wing TV media. You have a few right wing papers but they have nothing like the same reach that TV news has. Not a problem, im 37.

I'll show you an example of the real modern day Sky News. A news piece from earlier this year on Antifa. A US domestic terrorism group. Lets see how they covered them shall we.

Sky News and BBC News have the exact same (liberal/left) stories with the same news angle. You only have to open up their websites side by side to see or watch one broadcast after the other.
