This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave I think its easy to be Glib about the plight of families having to potentially up route, imagine if you had been told you were being moved on after 20 years of living in a place, where you have your mates, family about. I really want this to go ahead, but being sympathetic to there needs will be key here.

These people might have to move hundreds of yards or a mile or 3. Let's not dramatise this.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave If Palace is to maintain its reputation as a community and family club, attention must be paid to this issue. Part of the attraction the club has is that it is of and for the community and not some ultra-rich and impersonal organisation. It is right for the club to do what it can to minimize both negative environmental and social impact of this project.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Lots of 'Positives' regarding the stadium development plans and of course an upgrade has been required for many years. The overall appearance will be greatly enhanced and the corporate facilities in the new stand will generate much needed revenue.A far cry from the current main stand ! That said, whilst I welcome the £100 Mill development, in essence this is the creation of a single new stand which is a tad different from the 'Mood Music' some while back of a far greater revamp of 'Selhurst Park' with new stands being built stand-by-stand. Nevertheless the proposed development will be a huge upgrade on the current facilities. Edited by Willo (24 Jan 2018 8.53pm)

Agreed ,One step at a time, big hurdle tomorrow once planning approved we can start to make cpfc a club to be proud off and one we all dreamt it could become . Just to clarify, Palace haven't even submitted the planning application yet, and won't receive planning approval tomorrow The application so far is just a 'pre-app', where Palace are looking for Councillors comments and feedback, and for guidance from the planning officers as to what they need to fine-tune, and what evidence they need to provide. The meeting tomorrow will give a good idea of how warmly (or otherwise) the Croydon Councillors on the Planning Committee view the proposal, and from their comments, CPFC's planning consultants can go away and finish their submissions, which will be formally submitted around the end of January The final decision will take 8 weeks or so (maybe up to 12) from when the application goes in

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Image on pg 699 on the BBS thread of a flyer for the residents' meeting this Friday night at the Clifton. The Clifton that'd probably close down without Palace fans' business. There's mention on there of more urinating on the streets around that area of the ground. Can't say I've seen much urinating around Selhurst park for years. Certainly not around there. It's probably the best behaved corners of the ground. Attachment: IMG_0122.PNG (766.21Kb)
