Homophobia. I've several gay mates and family members (of both sexes). Terms such as 'bumboys, bender etc are in regular use,by them as much as us. We get called breeders. It's how people interact and talk with each other.
Me telling a gay mate to stop mincing (when they get a bit ott) is not homophobic.
Phobias of all sorts are bandwagons too many do gooders are happy to jump on.

Good point. My bro has been through the mill with 'genuine' homophobia, but even through that he jokes with gay and straight mates that I'm sure some do gooders would deem as homophobia. It's intent that matters. Where people cross the line, as the more weakminded tend to do, people tend to point it out anyway. I have done here on occasion. Most people are fair and decent though which in the big picture is what matters.

Anti semitism seems to be anything concerning Jews that isn't spoken about in glowing terms. But Jews, are actually a benefit in my view.....though I'm not blowing air up anyone's arse just because they want everyone to walk on eggshells.

Strangely I think we are in agreement about Jewish people. I believe they, like many other immigrants, have added great value to the UK as a whole.

I'm pretty much in favour of Israel itself which means I could never be a Momentum supporter. I admire Israel as they have managed to exist whilst surrounded by enemies for so long. I don't like everything they have done but their courage and determination is something I admire. I just wish some way could be found to accomodate the Palestinians and Israel.

This are pretty s*** times.

Would rather Boris gets in to try and prise Labour from the grip of momentum.

It's going to be a while before we get a decent political party.

Call me mad, but I do tend to think as real as this is deemed to be, it's something of a red herring. By that I mean that there's a degree of anti antisemitism on both the left and right and that the key difference is that Labour are meant to be 'whiter than white' on these issues, so it stands out more when they aren't. It's become a chink in the armour to keep going in on, and so it gets magnified beyond what it is.

Though that said, Corbyn as an individual, as you say does not have the best record by any means. I did see an unearthed interview with him the other day where he stated that the BBC was biased because it assumed that Israel had the right to exist, rather than giving airtime to other viewpoints. I found it to be a very distasteful way of phrasing it, and I don't think he does himself any favours on this issue.

I'd say we are in perfect alignment there.

I wish there would be a way for two states....but I just don't see it. Eventually it's going to be one or the other....horrible of course but the polarisation is way too strong.

And god knows what is going to happen between Israel and Iran.

Boris Johnson is not only eloquent, he is a polymath and a man of articulacy and personal charm.

You would probably get a better idea of Boris in these interviews IF idiots like Andrew Marr kept his mouth shut so the other person can give a proper answer. This morning A Marr did nothing but interrupt which is the usual thing by most BBC interviewers.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

So you see sickboy....as long as you past some moral guardian's idea of what is acceptable to say then that's all right.

'If you don't like something....just keep your mouth shut and don't upset the rainbows....there's a good chap'.

Frigging joke.

I realise that you are a fully signed up member of the nasty party who give them a free pass on everything but you cannot really believe this. Can you?

As Marr told him this morning he is a "blusterer" who doesn't answer questions but sticks to the lines he has been given. When he strays off script he gets things wrong and ends up lying, as he did again today. Johnson could be amusing in an annoying way if our situation wasn't so serious but he is no polymath. Such a term applies only to great thinkers and Johnson is a thinking lightweight. Having had a privileged education and the opportunity to study the classics doesn't make you a thinker. It just means you have some quotes that make you appear that way.

Johnson needs to send Corbyn the biggest Christmas present possible this year because without him he would be suffering total humiliation. As it is we all will be.

Make it a year next time.

Could well happen.

Though I think the current attempts at regime change are bearing fruit....though whether it continues to bloom or ends up rotting we will see.

Good to see you back, and well done on not letting the recent mistreatment you faced keep you away. I don't always agree with what you say, but I appreciate that you put your points across in a dignified way and deserve to be allowed to do so without having to put up with that.

Pretty much. People grossly underestimate the fire power of Israel. And of course they're backed up by the US, which even in today's changing world, makes a national near untouchable.

While there are plenty of Israelis who do not support the Netanyahu West Bank policy - a two state solution won't happen while he's around. Religion!!!
