No irony. already stated in original post! Of course there is. You use Daily Mail (understandably) as an insult but keep quoting the Uber story that came from the same paper.

I think him wanting to run this country's security like CND might have something to do with it...especially when we have an aggressive Russia and China doubling it's military size every ten years. Clear display of having no idea how policy is set or enacted. Despite Mrs U-Turn's best efforts we still live in a democracy of sorts. Labour are committed to Trident. Corbyn might not like it but he doesn't have sole discretion over Labour's policy.

Caused by mass immigration. That is utter rubbish. Unsurprisingly you've not backed that up with any evidence (there is none). Austerity economics is the principal reason for wage stagnation. Caps on public sector pay, growth of zero hours contracts, cuts in benefits to the poorest. GDP growth is supported by growing consumer debt, which is back at pre-crisis levels. Productivity remains woefully low with the government exacerbating the problem through cuts in investment. Some Tory treasury minister got owned by an Economics Professor on Newsnight last week on this very topic. He looked like an utter fool. [Tweet Link]

I watched a video of a guy outside Leeds Fairfield hall the other day. May was giving a speech, and so he decided to go down and ask a question about care. He was a carer, payed 7.50 an hour, trying to raise the money to put his own mother in a care home for 5k a year. Sadly he couldnt get in. The Tories had hand picked the audience, refused entry to a bunch of locals who wanted to get in, and this guy says his mate who worked at the hall had been sworn to secrecy in advance to the meeting. If the Tories really stand up for ordinary people, why are they so terrified of showing face? Not just on the campaign trail, but on tv to discuss their record. We never see them, except when thhey're parroting on about strong and stable, they just leave it to the screws to do their dirty work while they hide in carefully selected rooms and pretend to be adored. In contrast, the last time corbyn spoke in leeds, he had to do a second speech outside the hall to all those who turned up and couldnt get in. When we talk about who cares for the average person, surely we should look at who is actually brave enough to even speak to the average person.
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

Corbyn might not like it but he doesn't have sole discretion over Labour's policy. What a childish argument. Corbyn has said he would never use nuclear weapons so saying 'Labour are committed to Trident' is just repeating Labour's attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the woolly thinkers. It is nothing short of lying to people....Not unexpected of politicians but don't come on here and repeat the lie to me mate. A policy doesn't push the button, the Prime Minister does and a deterrent isn't a deterrent if its use is ruled out....so take your arrogant hubris to someone silly enough to listen to it.

Cameron, Osborne, their glamorous chum and the great Uber stitch-up ! Corruption by a conservative prime minister, his chancellor and a conservative mayor of London,,,,very worrying that this is the best we can do in 2017,,,,lest we forget! Yeh, only boris is left in the current government, but that so many people love this rabble does fill me with dread, i think corbyn isnt a bad guy and maybe the press are scared of his honesty, do we really care if he doesnt tax anyone on under £80k a year? The press dont like hearing an honest politician, and i dont dislike theresa may btw, was suprised the daily mail broke the corruption story on march 25, wondered why,,think its because they knew the cat was out of the bag and there might be lots more to come ! Corbyn doesn't tax anyone on under £80k? Is this a new socialism for the 2020's? Who is running for Labour in Surre East? I'm buying a share in a paper company for all that money we'll need to print.

Taking a decision to annihilate tens of millions of civilians, is a different reality to do it hypothetically. Especially given it will serve no purpose other than revenge (given the Prime Minister would only give a fire order in the face of a large scale soviet launch - in which case just about everyone in the UK has about five to ten minutes of existence). Is it really worth killing 10-15m Soviet citizens in response. I'm pretty sure that most Prime Ministers will have thought long and hard about whether adding another 20m foreign corpses to the death toll serves any greater purpose. There is a reason why the fire order letters on the Trident submarines are burnt, and never read.
