I'm sure the reality is that until Benteke drops his wage demands, he won't be signing for us anytime soon. As time passes, this maybe more of a reality for us if and when he decides playing is more important than money. If there is some form of loyalty bonus due for him at Liverpool - then this could be significant in him playing for less money too I guess. In the meantime I'll keep returning to this page a number of times a day!!

Yeah but not caring where you play is very different from being adamantly opposed to playing somewhere. Betting 30 million pounds on anyone is risky especially for us...I'd rather sign two strikers in the 10-15 million range who are interested in playing here. This. With bells on..

I feel left out of this thread so thought I would add to it. Benteke was fantastic at Villa but it's too much money and a bigger risk than buying two promising 15M strikers instead which I think we need

why don't we buy rolandinho 36 skillful as hell free agent 2 season better than benteke

Beneke definitely not coming our way? You can never be sure that he won't sign for us, until he goes elsewhere. Meanwhile,we still have Campbell and Wickham to hold the fort. Patience is a virtue.
