The government does not want the masses to think that ordinary people are so angry that they will resort to rioting. They want to marginalise and vilify. It is psychological warfare used in conjunction with coercion.

Labour councillor charged with incitement to 'violent disorder', not incitement to murder. The video uploaded is of an incident that appears to have received appropriate treatment but which demonstrates a largely unreported danger on some of our streets.

From watching the sentencing they will serve one half of that duration if they don't play up. The fact that some bloke who's being rude gets 26 months does appear to be another example of the difference in treatment.
