When you say it's about boredom, I think with the saturation of superhero movies there's an aspect of that.. And of course Hollywood is still making movies that break the billion dollar mark, last year with Barbie and Oppenheimer....but I think the general theme of the video was quite telling. Still, while the 'woke, go broke' meme doesn't really reflect how it all works (rules and corporate monopoly), there is definitely an effect there. Hollywood made good money during the 30s depression by giving people what they wanted, while this time around it's just an activist roadshow. So while you may think it's just going through its expansion and contraction cycle personally I think that unless it changes course (which I'm doubtful about) its only going to continue to underperform. I see competitors to Hollywood emerging as the DEI is effectively a blacklist and talent will work elsewhere....essentially conservative or even non group think creators are aware that's attempting to make it in Hollywood requires lying and that doesn't work long term. Edited by Stirlingsays (31 Jan 2024 8.24am) I'm not a comic book fan so he is one of the few characters I know. In the video the writers were talking about characters I had never heard of.

When it comes to the comics I think outside of characters like Superman, Batman, Spiderman...Hulk maybe, most of us have reducing recognition with these characters. As usual with Hollywood as soon as something makes money they saturate it until that boredom you speak of sets in......We had loads of zombie movies and shows a few years back and now there's barely a walking stiff to be found. Edited by Stirlingsays (31 Jan 2024 8.35am) Yup. Regarding your comment about how Hollywood gave the public what they wanted in the 1930's that is certainly true, however. Recently I discovered that was not true of the war years. Hollywood did it's patriotic bid with John Wayne and Errol Flynn leading the charge. However by 1943 the public were fed up with war movies even though Hollywood continued to churn them out. This was how Film Noir arrived as the public wanted something different. The good times for war movies was actually the 10 years post 1945. Anyway my point being that there is often a lag between what the public wants and what Hollywood is producing at that time and I think we are now in one of those times.

I certainly hope you're correct. We will see, personally I think they would need to drop the DEI and Hollywood rules they have implemented. I see a fragmentation personally....but then again, that's a theme with me as I see that increasingly in different sectors....they will try to repress it but I'm not sure that can work. i predict Hollywood will go the way of 'top of the pops'.....a dinosaur that failed to evolve. Squid Game shows us the future. And lots of other World tv & cinema. Lots of kids are hooked on youtube, bitchute and other stuff....bypassing traditional telly & often not bothered with watching movies. it feels like, in modern times, everybody has the attention-span of a gnat. ---------------------------------- isnt it curious how many lefties have a life of privilege ? and how very many arch Conservatives grow up tilling the soil in some backwater Third World country ? This is the reality in modern Britain today. Lefty and socially liberal politicians and the infected leftist institutions will talk about the 'far right' in this county as a threat. Yet the truth is that any physical threat they pose to the establishment is tiny compared to the imported fifth columnists and white far left activists in the country. If the 'far right' had done this we would hear screaming down every media outlet. If they didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any standards at all.

When all around seems to run counter to reason, there must be an agenda behind it. The West, and those of European descent are clearly being undermined on several levels. The law has been manipulated in order to stifle any resistance to this process.
