When I was growing up in the 60s, my whole family supported Fulham and Chelsea, remember Chelsea grass growing up through the tunnel whatever, I hated going to watch them play, then my family realised I love CPFC, in old third division think we had to beat Wrexham for promotion, as I grew up in penge, I have seen Palace high and lows but if ever relegation again I still love Palace, as they are close to my heart, live Asia now still love

probably the game we had to beat Wrexham by 2 goals.
went 2-0 up(away from home)
threw it away, 2-2 and managed to score 2 (2-4) running into injury time to be promoted.

You are not wrong. They gifted us an early goal we fans could hardly believe and then fell to pieces and yes a young Harry M was playing for them that day.

Oh I remember it well . I was barley in my seat when Wilf scored . It was safety guaranteed for us . Wilf turned Harry M inside out all game then he bottled it and went of injured .

Yep, both of those too.

2017 - Hull
2018 - Stoke
2019 - Huddersfield & Cardiff
2022 - Watford

Turns out West Brom went down the game before in 2018.

Playing us at Selhurst at the end of the season seems a bad omen...

Did we also send down Peterborough the season we got promoted- I seem to remember Dwight Gayle scoring for them?

We did - I think Jedinak's last minute winner did for them.

Gayle was playing but I think Lee Tomlin and someone scored.

Not quite correct. We still had to rely on Wrexham not beating champions Mansfield at home on the following Saturday. Fortunately Mansfield weren't 'on the beach', winning 1-0.

It did. The free kick which led to that goal should in my opinion - and to the obvious fury of their manager, Darren Ferguson - never have been awarded. It turned out in the end that just a draw would have got us into the play-offs.

I was a little sorry about Peterborough's relegation as I was around when they first got into the league, and took the old 4th Division by storm.

We’ve hit the magic 40 points. I know in recent years 37, 38 has been sufficient however I’m always a lot happier as soon as we hit 40.

As Roy said today, he hopes the players don’t switch off and that they try and maintain a 10th to 12th spot. At about £1.2m extra per position in the league you can understand why. We also want to finish above Chelsea.
