Maybe Palace, can't approach Ismaeal or Cooper because they are under contract? You know approaching people under contract gives you a transfer ban. So they waited until they could approach them when the clubs weren't promoted. I would still have thought Palace wanted Frank from Brentford but they went through so a no go. And now they are in talks with the 2 left out of 3 excellent managers in the championship. Sadly the best one were promoted.

Frank Lampard Think he would do a good job. Don't see his time at Chelski as a failure. He had a transfer embargo and had to play youth players and finished in the top 4. Had a huge role in the development of Mount, Tomori, James, Gilmour. Jose would never had played any of them Probably had a sense of loyalty to the players coming through at the club tather than signings made by a DOF ; this probably goes back to the days of Jose with Salah, De Bryne, Moses - none of them he would play but all went on to win the league, Moses under Conte at Chelsea. Chelsea were said to have made a decision on Frank after losing a league game v Leicester, hardly a crime and Tuchel lost the FA cup final to them .Hence the last month Frank was a dead man walking. Maybe he was seen as a stop gap until Tuchel was ready by the hierarchy. Tactically maybe a bit naive but he seems intent on attack which is the opposite of Roy. As we are now category 1 academy that can hold onto our talent then we need a clear vision and long term goal. Lampard has inside knowledge of how to do that or what it takes. He had a free hit at Chelsea but you cannot deny he had the guts to play these youth - and the most since Fergie did it at Man Utd We know they had much better academies but it's something for us to aspire to and need somebody up top with the will to make it happen. Frank has a point to prove Edited by Vincehair (04 Jun 2021 5.43am)

I'd love to see Nuno here, but the Everton big wigs want him, and there's no choice for him to make - he hasn't made up his mind yet so you never know, but the more I think about it the less likely I feel it will happen.

Unfortunately I think you may be correct. Moshiri wants Nuno and he holds the purse strings, although doesn’t appear the fans want him

I think it was fairly common knowledge that Roy was on £4.5m a year, but according to this (if accurate) [Link] It also makes you wonder, if we got Nuno I'd imagine he would want at least what Roy got, whereas Ismael or Cooper may well take the job for far less. Lampard was supposedly on £8m per year, so would he want something similar? If the club is trying to lower the wage bill then these things may come into play (although personally for the right man I think Parish would get the chequebook out. Anyway, if dazza is correct then we'll find out today Edited by taylors lovechild (04 Jun 2021 9.00am)

I think Parish plays be the rules and would approach the clubs concerned for permission. of course there is nothing to stop Palace speaking to an agent to feel out a player or manager I think that goes on all the time. I think we have a pretty good track record when it comes to tapping up have we ever been done for it?
