If we fail to get anything against a side at the bottom of the Premiership with only 2 points, he will be under extreme pressure! In terms of his tenureship, I don't believe that his hat is on a shaky peg and a defeat against Sheff Utd will make no difference whatsoever.

I want him to see this season out, but keep losing to the lesser sides there will only be one way this is heading!

It would be ridiculous to say that because you have done something previously you ignore what is happening in the present.

We will not sack him for financial reasons if nothing else. We do not have any money. We are still paying huge wages for some players who are nowhere near the first team and the drop in come from COVID means the cupboard is even more empty. Sacking him would mean paying him compensation and if we wanted to replace him with anyone good, chances are they are already in a job so that means compensation. But if we do think he is likely go go at the end of the season I would not spend money on new players as they may not suit a new manager. Bit of a catch 22

Bit of a catch 22 Fair enough but will you be saying that if Roy takes us down this season? I would say our chances of staying up this season are currently about 70/30 in our favour but it won’t take many bad results for that to sink to 50/50. I think Sheffield are done, but the other two spots are very much up for grabs. Watch WBA’s defence improve post Jan transfer.

What’s he got 6 months left on his contract? Also if you believe what’s said by ITKs we’ve got money in the bank for transfers. We supposedly bid £25m for Sarr last deadline day.

So the board/Parish, quite rightly know that Roy will not be around forever. I'm not expecting him past this season, nor I doubt, is anyone else.

IMO this puts things into perspective in terms of our current predicament, why we need to replace Roy and if we don't do something soon to arrest this slide we will be in serious problems. See link for English Football 2020 League table we are 82nd out of 92, only Brighton and Sheffield United of sides currently in the Premier League are below us. I understand that this takes into account teams playing in lower leagues, so therefore a weaker standard of opposition. But the fact remains they are still playing and competing at their relative levels. Doesn't make good reading; COYP

Definitely not, I was wondering about Roy and Ray though. Roy could retire in which case Ray may decide to continue. He can certainly motivate the team!
