No-one sensible suggests Brexit is responsible for everything, including all labour shortages. Only that it makes our situation more difficult. Having to cope with it, alongside everything else, was a self-inflicted wound we should have, could have and probably would've avoided, except for Russia internet propaganda and the way populists like Johnson jumped on the bandwagon.
... a social care crisis also caused by a staff shortage, largely as a consequence of Brexit... that wasn't blaming Brexit.

Anyhoo, back to Covid. Bumped into a colleague that I haven't seen for a while. He was coughing really badly. I asked him if he had Covid. He replied I did have 3 months ago I've been off since then came back Monday. He has serious respiratory problems, an enlarged heart and now has type 1 diabetes. He said I really regret not having the vaccine now. All the things they said COULD happen to me if I had it have happened to me when I got Covid. He is 61 but was always as fit as a flea. Not anymore. You also need to bare in mind that this variant is no-where near as deadly as the original one. How many people do you think that didn’t get the vaccine regretted it?

That was specific, so not all! OK. In that case the effects haven't been as disastrous as forecast.

People that have been hit hard or died had other problems the % of people who had none was very small this is why no increase in death rate for a world pandemic. It was a harsher flu and all the people that have had the vaccine it's useless now anyway. Edited by grumpymort (14 Aug 2022 11.31am)

Funny how Brexit gets the blame for everything! The farmers situation and indeed Brexit itself was down to greed. Travellers used to do the crop picking. Cash in hand as per. But they were rowed out by East europeans. Why? Because they were cheaper and the farmers saved a few quid. The Brexit vote was down to greed again. Low paid jobs held by British people* were given to cheaper east europeans. As were builders jobs. The working class rebelled and voted out and they turned their backs on labour during the election for the same reason. The snowflakes and better off never encountered any of that. * I include all races and colours in that statement. I saw first hand how black contract cleaners at Kings Hospital were given the push and replaced. Not nice seeing people you know crying. That didn't last long though after a string of theft's.

I simply do not understand why people are still ignoring the myriad of senior, prominent and well respected doctors, virologists, epidemiologists, scientists etc that have been coming out against these "vaccines" and all the damage that is surrounding them. Why is it that these people will not even be debated? People are now getting things like shingles, neurological issues, heart issues and aggressive cancers and simply cannot make the connection to their injection. The mechanisms of this damage within the body has been described and well understood. MRNa vaccines specifically are not new (I think at least 10 years old) but have not been used on the public before 2020 because they were proven to be dangerous in animal studies. If you are not seeing significant numbers of people around you getting sick (which wasn't happening in 2020) you are simply lying to yourself. Yet you bring this up and you are an "anti-vaxxer". Now even the vaccine damaged are called "anti-vaxxers". It's tragic.

Animal studies are meaningless and the data should never be used they are nothing like humans again they use them because it sounds good being it's on something alive not only epidemiology models.

Why? Did you always have this view or is it now convenient for you to adopt?. Why is everyone so desperate to defend what's happened these last two+ years at any cost? Have the measures introduced impacted you negatively or positively? Can you not draw a clear line between "COVID measures" and the "cost of living crisis" or not?
