Shows that May will do anything to satisfy her core vote rather than any moral principles if she ever had any So you're happy with illegal immigrants staying here. Should they also be given priority housing and access to education and medical care at the expense of those who are here legally?

Don't as a government perform a limp gesture of a message on a van saying 'Please dob yourself in'. It's empty populist guff rather than actual action. Is the correct answer. How many illegals saw that van and handed themselves in. May should have spent the money on the Border Force who are woefully underfunded. Edited by Badger11 (24 Dec 2018 7.56am)

He says it's dangerous rhetoric. You accuse him of welcoming illegal immigrants and then Rudi plays the race card. Fairly typical exchange on here. Edited by steve1984 (24 Dec 2018 8.45am)

The Dow down around 4000pts since the turn of the month, problems in the EU (the end of QE), problems in China, over 93% of all global assets down on the year, not seen since the 1930's and this is in the, ahem, good times..........but apparently Brexit will be our ruin? Open your eyes people.

Exactly, and it's likely to stir up more race hate and division because of course some people think that anyone whose skin colour is different to theirs should "go home". My brother's skin colour is different to mine and he has been here perfectly legally since he was born, and speaks with the same accent as me, but people still tell him to "go home" (and get told of course in reply that "home" is Catford). There are laws which state who can and who can't come to the UK but they need to be enforced and shown to be enforced impartially by due process. Not by soundbite, PR gesture and social stigma.

Actually a lot of them probably couldn't *get* home even if they wanted to and there are probably some more who ought to be getting leave to remain but aren't but anyway who gives a toss? Shout the right things loudly enough and people will vote for you. What you actually do is irrelevant. Modern politics.

Well you only have to look at the Windrush scandal which was allowed to fester under her watch, just to make her look tough on immigration, even Maggie wouldn't stoop that low

Open your eyes people. Cheers. I don’t read so I had no idea this was coming. This will be my third crash that I can remember, fourth in total, and no doubt probably one of if not the largest. Nothing new here. Capitalism - got to take the rough with the smooth. It will happen, but people have been chirping about it for the last 5 years (people like David Stockman) and it’s still get to arrive, as it’s being propped up as per usual. Everything is starting to fall into place now though, Brexit being a nice big piece about to be pulled out of the jenga tower. As Liverpool fans always say, next year is our year etc etc We all know something that has already tanked though...
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |
