This band are also at the Wet Leg gig, just discovering them.

Is Lovejoy really the ‘the only indie rock band with a double kick drum’, as their official biography claims? In any case, the British quartet brings a welcome breath of fresh air to the indie scene. The group is led by William Gold, better known as Wilbur Soot, who has millions of followers on YouTube and Twitch. Together with his friend Joe Goldsmith, they formed an old-fashioned band, briefly adopted the name Hang the DJ, found their bass player by chance in a fast-food restaurant and released their first EP in 2021. Since then, Lovejoy has been distilling heartfelt songs, both melodic and edgy, reminiscent of the Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and Vampire Weekend.
