The Democrats spent tens of millions using multiple different agencies investigating Trump. They wasted that taxpayer money for politics. What do you think would be discovered if tens of millions were spent investigating the links between both ruling parties and China or indeed any other country seeking influence? There needs to be a root and branch investigation into the influence foreign countries have with leaders of institutions and politicians. We need to know if there is corruption. Politicians and institutions are only meant to have loyalties to their mother country. Personally I think it's a infested swamp full of traitorous scum. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Jul 2021 4.20pm)

It's far from speculation. You only had to observe Trump's behaviour last year to witness it for yourself. No need for the filters of TV reporters or other opinions. It was there in plain view. Maybe you didn't follow him quite as avidly as I did! Someone in the US intelligence community raised this idea as a possibility. Trump was being castigated at the time for his lack of action and jumped all over it. It then became the "China Virus", which was at best a careless release and at worse, a deliberate one. It was typical Trump. Never apologise. Never accept blame. Accuse others of that you have done yourself. He learned this from Roy Cohn and sticks to it even today. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (21 Jul 2021 3.32pm) Yes, pure speculation. No evidence beyond your own extrapolation. The virus started in China and he said so. The motives you are imputing are guesswork.

Like I said trump could cure cancer, eliminate world poverty, find the solution to perpetual motion, create world peace ( he was on his way in the middle east and Russia) and get 100% of the American vote and WE would still find a flaw.

Scientific investigation? Really? Peer reviewed, verified and published in a respected journal? Or speculative hypothesis, of which there were many? Carlson doesn't have a "news" show. He has a very popular entertainment show. Nothing on Fox is genuine news and subjected to conventional editorial standards. He is routinely called out on many of the things he says. The findings were neither ignored or buried. They weren't independently verified, and without verification no responsible news outlet will publish them. They might refer to them in passing as a rumour that is circulating, but push it to the top of the day's stories? Only those who deal in propaganda do that.

Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Jul 2021 4.20pm) Wasted? Hardly. It helped remove the worst POTUS ever and enable the world to start to recover from him. It exposed his traitorous dealings and those he associated with. Only the protection he got from Bill Barr stopped him getting exposed for his connections with Russia, and the weakness of the GOP Senators in failing to impeach him assisted that. The net is slowly closing around him and his family. I have always said it will take time, and you need to be patient, but he is a crook, and he will go down. Eventually. Just wait. You like your popcorn. Get a big bag.

I don't though hate him. I pity him because no-one can behave that way without being sick. I hate Trumpism and what led to Trumpism. I hate populism and the threat it poses to democracy. I hate the way Trump's time in office has destroyed the way the rest of the world views the USA, and it's confidence in democracy. It has allowed a belief in authoritarianism to grow and strengthened both China and Russia. It will take decades to rebuild that. Which is a terrible legacy. No-one can trust the USA not to elect another Trump yet. Only when they demonstrate that won't happen again will things get better.

Nonsense. If he any of those his time would have been a success. You think giving blanket support to Israel and confronting Iran means he succeeded in the Middle East? I don't. He was played by Putin, who pretty well controlled their agenda.

We have, but Trump was several levels worse than anything we have seen before. Even with Nixon or Bush you knew they would listen to advice, and not do anything really stupid. Trump was a nightmare, who sacked anyone who dared disagree with him. Even John Bolton gave up on him.
