This will cause an economic depression. The cash flow hit is insane and QE can only "work" by an absurd devaluation of money.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

The mindset of many modern day humans has been conditioned to regard no risk or the least risk as automatically the best option. Human beings are very sheep-like and if most of their bubble are saying one thing....they are reassured. Watching the media and our institution's blind acceptance that this pathway is the 'best scenario' is a marked lesson in human mass response. I don't agree that they have taken the right choices myself but hey....we are going to find out aren't we. Once the pain comes watch the tide turn.

Be honest. What would get you to change your mind, or at least delay it like my view. Living in a city. London? Or are you a scouser in disguise?

This seems pessimistic.

It did cross my mind earlier when I remembered you saying I was wrong to let the fatties in society go without medical help if they persisted in gauging in chocolate without proven mental illness and we should provide their health care for the greater good. Plus there’s right wing and even more right wing or something. Now I know that wasn’t putting the economy into a possible or likely recession even though it comes at a cost, but you can see how the tables have been turned here, without us realising it. Mad innit this disease? Hopefully everyone can get back to work soon apart from the vulnerable. That’s one of the 3 main predictions. The others being 3 months or a year. You could cancel and get them for a month's subs on Netflix (they're on there) and very possibly for free on All4, I think (albeit with the pesky adverts, if so.) I fall in the same self-employment crack that Fish Mitten mentions (in an industry that won't recover quickly either - heigh ho!), however if I'm not on my arse in 6 months - feasting on the rotting corpses in the gutters - and have stayed on my feet then I shall consider a guilt-ridden refund for you if you hate it. (Or maybe a pro-rata amount - appropriate to the percentage of enjoyment.)

Really what you are asking me is 'at what extent should personal interest over-ride national'.....risk against necessity....Our ancestors lived with that every day before a hunt. Each individual should obviously look to minimise their risks....However, if you aren't bringing home the bacon eventually the bellies are going to rumble....to use a rather crap metaphor. What can I say....I'm a nationalist, in some ways what is coming will benefit my politics. However, I'm not going to enjoy what's coming and I genuinely feel for those that have and are going to be paying the price for this....whether via illness or economically. What is true is more important to me than acceptance....perhaps it's a bit of autism. If you don't stand with the crowd you won't be thanked even if you were right. Let's just hope those like me are wrong....I'm starting to see a few hedging their bets and playing both arguments.....but personally I think the world economy is far too sensitive for that. The sooner we get back the less the long term damage. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2020 11.12pm)

I've bought loads of boxsets over the last couple of years and I'm considering burning them to digital versions and creating my own home channel....using plex or even the wonderful VLC player. Good TV and film production is now becoming a bit niche....I think the industry is changing. Still, I think you can rest assured that I'm likely to enjoy Peep Show....starting back up at season three. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2020 10.59pm)
