Benteke is a one dimensional type of player, and we have done better without him. Definitely done better. He nearly missed this penalty, as many may have noticed he slipped while taking it. I thought it was something like the Bournemouth debacle, he didn't look confident taking it and he went for power and down the middle. I think he's got to move on and finish his career somewhere hot and abroad, China for instance it's probably for the best so we can get at least between £10 to £15 million for him. It's a fact that he'll never forget the season he's just had for the rest of his career and life in general to be fair. At least he scored at home. Finally.

Sadly in this case Chinese Superleague is not the cash cow it was. Chinese clubs are restricted to 3 foreign players in their first 11 and subs. And, the Chinese FA have a 100% tax on players coming in, i.e clubs have to negotiate a price with the selling club then pay twice it to get their man.

Does anyone think we'll get what we originally paid for him.?????. To be honest it's going to be tough to get it really with what's gone on this season. It's a shame it's ended like it has for him, fair enough he did his job last season with scoring a handful of goals. It practicaly kept us up with others contributing aswell it got us another PL season. But it's nearly cost us dearly this time round with a very eventful season, with all of us noticing a hell of alot of chances going begging to be put in net. I just hope we recruit some quality to the frontline and hopefully Wilf doesn't move on. Further more i hope Roy doesn't move on either. Hopefully.

As posted by several people, China is not any solution now. Best route now seems to be try to get him better in pre season and banging in goals so either we keep a rejuvenated player or are able to sell him for minimised financial damage. I don't really care if he's popular in the dressing room or not. We have had one ok season and one very poor season from him.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The new issue against Benteke now is the type of chances we’re creating and goals we’re scoring. They don’t suit Benteke here and they didn’t at Liverpool. Hopefully Roy will solve the whole thing. So good to see someone relying on Roy. I’m with you all the way.

Thankfully, it is not us who decides when it ends for him, it is Roy and Mr Parish et al. Even if it does end for him at Palace, I am pretty sure he will go somewhere else and do well. Stop being so melodramatic.

I don’t think they will sell him. They won’t get what they have paid and they will have to pay another 25-30 million to replace. What little budget we have needs to go into the midfield. We need a RLC replacement, a Cabaye replacement and a wide player.

If Connor Wickham is fit next season then we have three Centre Forwards including Sorloth.

Promote Lokilo & Lumeka and buy 2 forwards with one of them being a young hungry speed merchant type; from the lower leagues.Townsend then has some one pushing him as well; which can only help.

We have looked very dangerous playing the fast paced, lots of movement quick strikers up top. It hasn't worked against every team however, therefore if we need a plan B then we have Sorloth and Wickham. With this in mine I see no real reason to keep Benteke. I would replace him with a real speed merchant of a striker and preferably one who can finish. Someone like Vardy would be awesome in our team. Don't mind seeing Wickham go either as I think he is probably too much like Sorloth, but we do need 3 strikers so if he goes then he would need to be replaced.

Who's being "melodramatic" Your right yes it is Roys and Parish decision. I just think he's had a really bad season, and it's going to take quite a while to get over it. I'm not saying his career as a footballer is over. If he does move on then that's a huge and better choice for him to go and try to get his game back to how it was. I think it would be good for him to move on and do exactly that. Something big has to happen for him to get back to the form he used to be like. He should be getting at least 20 goals or more a season for sure and i don't think he can do that at Palace. AND THAT'S A FACT. You stop being melodramatic.
