Why would a self proclaimed 'citizen of nowhere' care?

It's also a logical fallacy to imply that because you might not like A and A also supports a concept you share that this means that the belief is wrong......Or even that you share that belief for the same reasons.

An absolutely ridiculous decision if ever there was one. A cynic might say that it was a deliberate stance to justify importing more foreigners.

Who knows.

Don't be daft

Nothing to do with foreigners, some people have immigration on the brain

SRNs always studied for 3 years, SENs only for two.

I remember the first Nursing Degrees coming in during the late 1970s. It was supposed to drive up the capabilities of the SRNs.

Most like that usually get wound up easily themselves.

Actually I claimed a multitude of identities, you then helpfully decided that only one of them was acceptable.

But even a citizen of nowhere has to live somewhere and right now I'm sharing an island with you. So I care.

So your not a fan of Putin? Thought you'd be all for the annexation of Crimea and the Donetsk People's Republic. National self determination is good isn't it?

So when you share a location with someone else....you won't.....yeah ok Steve.....promiscuous loyalties are not loyalties at all.

No, I'm not a fan of Putin but for different reasons. I have mixed feelings over his annexations.

The whole question of who has the right to 'own' a piece of dirt or not.....That's never been an easy question for me....Of course inheritance claims carry weight.....but ultimately I think I probably come down on the 'might is right' side.....even though it isn't necessarily right....but what it does do is clear up who wants it more.

Unlike you my identity and my location aren't joined at the hip. I fail to see why I should choose to conform to your concept of loyalty. I have my own thank you.

I imagine the Ukrainians want Crimea just as much, they just don't have the might. Basically you seem to be saying your cool with big nations annexing bits of smaller nations countries because it's a dog eat dog world. Justice isn't a factor in your world view then?

No wonder you're a committed unionist.

'Justice' Whose justice is that Stevie boy? The side you agree with I suppose. These things are rarely clear cut.

Isn't the Crimea historically Russian? If the Ukrainians had really wanted Crimea they should have done something about moving those Russians out over time and replacing them with Ukrainians....Like China are doing to Tibet....replacing them.

These are complex issues in grey. Ultimately all lands have been decided by 'might is right' and those left standing in the dirt just conveniently forgot about it over time.

Yeah, I'm English first and a unionist second, but it's far from perfect....but unlike you I have loyalty because, for better or worse, I know what I am.

My stripes don't change the moment I get off the plane/boat.

'Justice'...how quaint......as the communist professors say...all that exists is power, those that have it and those that don't.
