They have known what's coming for quite some time now. Millionaires are fleeing the UK faster than any country in the world. The left's fundamental method of raising revenue via the most wealthy has always had that rudimental flaw. But normies always fall for it. Sorry, I guess your intellectual superiority will just have to suffer our stupidity won't it. I was reacting to the chorus of laughter at the admittedly low brain of the new foreign sec. What I intended to say was: try looking at the people you voted for. What came out was: shut it dumb ass. Note to self: be more careful what you say.

So Labour in for a couple of days, and they have already scrapped the only migrant deterrent available and are paving the way to rejoining the EU. More taxation to follow. The Right will have an open goal next time if they agree on a winning election strategy. It's not only the left who can use tactical voting.

Really? Did you ever really doubt it? We will probably remain officially out, but I expect a new deal where we are forced to cave in to EU demands. Starmer wanted to reverse the referendum result. Why would anyone be surprised? My favourite moments of the Election so far, apart from Reform's remarkable performance, were Emily Thornberry not getting her job in the cabinet and Jonathan Ashworth losing his seat. What loathsome individuals they are.

What loathsome individuals they are. Truthfully, yes. Starmer has gone on record that he considers rejoining the EU to be the third rail. Total electoral suicide, especially given Reform bubbling under. What I think they will do, instead, is seek to negotiate better trade deals. The debate on this platform will be how this pans out, what if anything we concede etc. Right now, we are reduced to angry posts about made up or soon to be made up articles (like the obvious fiction about pensions up the thread) and what you lot think they might be thinking. Personally, I'm keeping my powder dry.

If the Rwanda scheme could have been shown to work it might have been retained but it looks to have been a very expensive white elephant, so fraught with legal difficulties that not one person has actually been sent there. Flogging a dead horse rarely deters anything. The right should use tactical voting if it ensures proper representation. Much better than splitting the vote as Reform did last week. Accepting they only stand a real chance in a handful of places and withdraw in others could ensure the Tories get back. Whether they will do that, or even if the Tories would play ball, is yet to be determined.

The Rwanda scheme was always an unworkable nonsense and waste of money. However, what Labour propose sounds extremely weak and essentially bluster. The only politicians who had the policies to properly tackle illegal immigration were Braverman and Frost and the Conservative centre bulked at going down the path of ditching the bills required to do it. So what we are left with is disingenuous policy and lies sold to the public. Very little change.

Starmer is perhaps the most perfidious b****** in active British politics at the moment. And if you don't take my word for it, just take a sneak around any and every Left-wing social media outlet. He is running Johnson a close second in terms of this.

A Rwanda style scheme is the only way to stop an increasing stream of migrants from dodgy countries. The key part, which was missing from the Tory plan, was that migrants should never be allowed to reach our shores. They should be transferred to a ship offshore from which they are then transferred to a ride off to a third country or back where they came from. All this was achievable if the government wished it. It was a charade.
