Certainly his dad succeeded due to his talent, theres no doubt about that. I'm mostly just commenting on what tends to happen over the generations as result, and how wealth then acrues more and more at the top. So I think it's important to provide and encourage opportunities for those who, as you rightly say, have the determination and effort to make something of themselves, because these opportunity naturally exist throughout the generations for the very wealthy regardless of their distance from the original effort or ability that may have elevated them in the first place. I expect Beckham’s grandchildren will waste most of the money. ‘70 percent of wealthy families lose their wealth by the second generation, and a stunning 90 percent by the third, according to the Williams Group wealth consultancy’ nm [Link] Well worth a read. idUSKBN0OX1RH20150617 Edited by Rudi Hedman (02 Jul 2022 7.31pm)

Decent people try to look after everyone. The current Government gave up on decency well before they became the Government. They just don't care and are naked in their partisanship. Conservative MPs seem to think they can do what they want and are bullet proof as they get so much support from the old boys' club. Even when their friends are caught bang to rights they try to back them up. It's not just the sleeze, it's the way they close ranks behind the wrong'uns. Chris Pincher sexually assaulted two fellow guests at the Carlton Club, having previously resigned as a junior whip for making unwanted passes at a man but got BoJo's support initially Imran Khan found guilty in April of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy but defended by Crispin Blunt Neil Parish admitted to watching X-rated videos in the Commons chamber (he was looking for a Dominator tractor according to allies) Rob Roberts had six-week suspension from the Commons last year for sexually harassing a member of staff David Warburton had the Conservative whip withdrawn in April after allegations of sexual harassment and cocaine use emerged. Unnamed Tory MP arrested over allegations of rape and sexual assault, abuse of position of trust, and misconduct in public office in May. Andrew Griffiths found to have raped and abused his wife Charlie Elphicke was handed a two year prison sentence in September 2020 for three counts of sexual assault against two women Sir Michael Fallon repeatedly put his hand on journalist Julia Hartley Brewer's knee during a dinner in 2002 and lunged at Jane Merrick, another political journalist, in 2003. Damian Green sacked from cabinet in 2017 after he was found to have made "inaccurate and misleading" statements about p***.graphy found on his office computer in 2008. Does anyone begin to see a pattern? Yes, indeed Maple. although Pincher is seeking medical advice for his problems so must keep his job! It"s a green light to slip your hand down a ladies pants in a club-"thing is your honour, I had a few beers to many and will be seeking medical advice-once you let me go and I can continue in my job" Apparently bungle knew of his reputation-used to call him Pincher by name etc- before he got the job as whip!I"m heading to a club to get pizzed and grab some ass and boobs, will take some video of me stumbling around as proof it wasn"t me your honour-it was the booze!

The alternative to the current liberal, I mean conservative government, would’ve been this. Probably something to remember… [Tweet Link]

No wonder the red wall didn’t vote for the minority/non working party. Both parties are an embarrassment for varying reasons. Labour don’t understand what the majority wants/needs currently. Why they don’t have Andy Burnham as leader is a mystery. Or is it? Probably not. Starmer is a Blair cut out/sell out.

They're at massive advantage, but I suppose there is therefore little push to actually excel at anything and it all comes too easy.

It's a valid point, but I'd not sure that attending a once a year event aimed at a particular 'community' is such a terrible thing. Didn't Boris attend in a pink cowboy hate one year haha? I expect that the most time our elected representatives spend isn't with these folks, or other voters concerns, but instead lobbyists and those looking for a financial cut of any cake going.. And that's true across all parties reallh, with everything else being window dressing to convince voters or any colour or creed that they're 'the party for them'. I agree that Andy Burnham is an obvious choice. Starmer just doesn't come across as authentic. Not as thought Boris does even, but he does it with that used car salesman charm where people know they're being mugged off but go with it. Attachment: bojo.jpg (54.37Kb)

Bending the knee, whatever signal or message of the day they’re all over it but when it comes to canvassing they haven’t a clue or Emily Thornberry thinks they’re complete scum. One of Angela’s favourite favourite words.
