My understanding is that we we wanted to bring Solanke in on the loan, not a perm deal. As for Abraham, that could also only be a loan if Chelsea were prepared to let him go. Lampard has been critical of him and you could argue that the best way for him to develop is to be playing every week. That's far from guaranteed at Chelsea.

With Chelsea losing Willian and no clubs having any real money, I think a player swap deal is the best we can hope for. Chelsea have lots of dead wood to get rid off so we could easily offer money + cash for two of their players

Loftus Cheek, Abraham, Giroud, Hudson Adoi and Gilmore to name but 5. It will be interesting to see who they make available for a loan or transfer.

I would not be surprised to see a Loan deal(s) involving Chelsea.

Palace are not interested in loans anymore unless they can include a purchase clause at the end.

Not sure about Ibe he’s had some off field troubles and has been looking for a new club for a while. Was a £15 million quid player so has quality but agree Fraser would be my preference. Brewster will score goals anywhere (except a pen shoot out - haha) he’d be fantastic but I don’t see it as anything other than a loan - Liverpool wouldn’t let such an instinctive goal scorer go on a permanent deal. Solanke would be worth a try Imo. Initially struggled to get fit and find his feet after Bournemouth signed him - but started to look like a very good player towards the end of the season once fully fit, very mobile and works hard - well worth a punt.

Jordan Ibe’s career has gone one way and can’t see he is worth consideration. He will be lucky to land at a Championship team.
