This is the type of manager we should be going for. A lot of people wanted this guy to replace Arsen Wenger need I say more.

No way will Tuchel even consider joining us. He has been linked with much, much bigger clubs. Even Leverkusen would be a step down, I'd be surprised if he goes there. If he were to come to the Premier League, it would be for a top 6 club or not at all.

TBH I don't think a manager of his calibre is going to step down to a team that has practically zero chance of champions league football. From Dortmund to SE25 never going to happen I think were destined for a failed England or Swansea manager... gulp

I would say it's acceptable to extend contracts of current key-players. If anything the signing of Zaha would lure a potential new Manager. I'd think any Manager besides Big Sam would of expected Zaha to be off to Tottenham so that re-assurance is a good thing. Why? Zaha already had over two years to go on his existing contract so wasn't going to Spurs on anywhere else unless it suited us. I wonder if Zaha was given any managerial commitments before signing - like it won't be Moyes

My personal hope is that we get literally nobody on any of the bookies' lists. Hull getting Marco Silva was inspired and nobody saw it coming. Some guy managing a mid-table club in France or Spain, or a top club in Turkey or Holland or Belgium or somewhere. who none of us have ever heard of. I'd much rather take a punt on the next Pocchettino or Koeman than end up with Monk or - god forbid - Hodgson. Would be happy with Dyche, satisfied with Jokanovic but hopefully they're thinking outside the box.

We need to dream big and get the best we can get. We should at least speak to Tuchel's advisors. We are in London and he might find that attractive.

Sign Monk and let's get going. Not everyone's favourite, but when have we had lol. CPFC 4 Life This is the kind of thing that infuriates me. It's been a week or so, why the need for panick ffs!? We get the right guy who fits with the players we have (and can ideally help us mould the club long term) and another week or two will matter diddley squat! All this following odds is only really relevant if we were to appoint RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW is not the necessarily RIGHT option! It's like some of you have never actually taken stock of how maticulous Steve Parish actually is (you know, the owner of our club, not Betfair or Willo!)
1/6/2010.a new era.we made it everyone!!!lets get the ball rolling for another 105 years of proud history.thank you cpfc2010. palace forever.eeaaaaaaaaaaaaaggglless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm not sure how you got from your opening sentence to the last one, but I agree 100% with your opening gambit! I'm really hoping Parish will sideswipe us all with someone totally unexpected. I think parish will play it safe with dyche or hodgson

I have a feeling we will get a surprise, I always keep in mind SP wants success as much as we all do. He is a die hard Palace fan and only wants the best for the club so lets hope he gets it right!!
