Beyond anyone else on this site you make everything a fight. Sometimes I enjoy a fight. But I do think you are particularly pernicious. And I believe that is why you were banned from the BBS. How wrong you are, as usual. You can't expect to make unsupported and self serving claims without being taken to task. Stop whining.

Even though our government are EU lackies there are plenty of anti-EU people here. I don't mind saying I voted no twice, then was, mysteriously, removed from the register. I'm removed so often that I re-register before every election. Might tell you something about our shining example of democracy.

The current state of that awful site makes any ban a badge of honour. The standard reason for a ban is disagreeing with the mob. Even a Lefty loon like Gussett fell foul of that rule.

There will never be a sea change if we stay in the EU. That's the entire point of leaving.

Yes Maple, we so misunderstand you. If only we could understand the world how you do.

The EU is undemocratic and expansionist......the far left and neo liberals flock to it like brass to a dropped tenner.

You mean the government could have spent even more money on the Remain campaign? The media could have been even more biased toward Remain? The words racists, bigots, and little Englanders could have been used more often? Despite all the odds, Leave won. Please stop deluding yourself that it was somehow unfair. Frankly, It's pathetic. Quite a few assumptions in that post. I neither advocated leaving or remaining, nor did I claim that the referendum was deliberately unfair. I merely said it wasn't competent. And since you have assumed that I'm a rampant remainer - presumably because you have me down as a lefty lunatic - I'll state that I could be persuaded by leaving if we were offered a credible proposal where the numbers stacked up; as was the case for the Scottish Independence one. In the proposal we were offered they did not seem to add up and that seems to be more and more the case. However, I wouldn't object to being asked again on the basis of a sounder proposal and might very well then vote for leaving. But don't let that spoil your fun.

So do explain how the original referendum was not competent.

Oh I see. So do explain how the original referendum was not competent. No. It's my opinion. I just wanted to make clear that my position wasn't what you assumed it was, but the problems with the process have been well enough rehearsed on here already and I don't particularly feel like being put down and belittled tonight. OK? Edited by chateauferret (18 Dec 2018 6.02pm)
