Very democratic!

If we all agreed, you'd have a very boring forum.

Of course he is. At the moment. That is not to say that I don't expect him to face charges sometime soon.

Being POTUS, and being protected from prosecution whilst in office, puts Trump in a unique position. Most people with his record would likely be in jail by now. In my opinion.

I was there for 12 years. Long enough to build a business and know the place pretty well. Which annoys one of our regular posters a little from time to time.

Being where I am now is absolutely no barrier to holding opinions on any matter. Indeed standing back from things can enable a clearer view.

Me, but he is an old boy and not in the best of health, so let him have his say. We don’t have to listen if we don’t want to.

I am not old! I am mature. I have some age and experience. Wisdom comes with both.

My health problem might well impact my life expectancy and, in time, cause me to add weight but right now I live an active life. I walk at least 2 miles every day and until this new lockdown played active aport at least twice a week.

Despite the frequent sarcastic, or worse, comments here my brain is lively and always thirsting for knowledge. You don't get asked to be chairman of your club if you are a dimwit. I may well be a thorn in the sides of some here but in other places I am respected.

I might be 76 but that's nothing at all to me. I intend to try to be as active as this at 100. So you had better get used to it.

Whatever, if it gives you something to do, then who am I to argue.

You are damned by your copious disingenuous words on this platform. So much so it's only the progressive left who will defend the self described 'one nation conservative' on here.

Another of your lies.

I don't believe for a moment that I have ever said "that the truth can be covered up if you think it leads to worst outcomes." I suspect that to be another of the gross misrepresentations you are so extraordinarily fond of.

That there are times when our security forces, or other public officials like the Police, may suppress stories if to release them would be against the public interest is obvious. D notices still exist.

So sometimes the truth can be withheld by some people if to release would not be wise.

The right to free speech is not absolute. Every right has to be exercised responsibly and lawfully. Without the law there is no freedom. Only anarchy.

That you categorise people by your own standards always says so much more about you then ever it does about them. Being thought "disingenuous" by you seems like a compliment to me. Whether any of the posters here would see themselves as "progressive left" is an open question which only they can answer. Your opinion, or mine, is irrelevant. As a traditional, one nation, conservative I see similar values to mine in all the major political parties.

Which is why we desperately need a new centrist party to represent those views which I firmly believe is the majority opinion in the UK. The right and left are just the noisest.

So the clenched raised fist that so many of these footballers display when taking the knee just means that they want to go to the bathroom, and has nothing to do with the universally accepted symbolism of the 'black power' movement I take it?

I tend to agree that is an unfortunate mistake by some of the players that distracts from the main message. If I was able to advise them I would encourage that it be stopped.

I haven't though heard any of them trying to explain why they do it so reserve final judgement until I do. Maybe some feel they are just showing solidarity with others who have suffered racist abuse.

No wonder Wisbech is always on here. His dog is bored of him and his self righteousness and blanks him. Accepts a walk and then fecks off as soon as the front door is opened back home.

Accuses me of 'gross misrepresentations' and then goes on to say the same thing.

Pedantry isn't an excuse.

As for the rest of it, others can judge.

You didn't even know about its main tourist attractions.

As disingenuous as usual.

Because skin colour doesn’t matter? I agree. So stop footballers completing a gesture entirely based on skin colour.

A very wise answer, that will probably fall on deaf ears.
