I believe he's an excellent talent who could improve. Decent goalscoring record. Could be a loan though. I'm not convinced they want to sell, or he wants to leave. I also wonder what price? My guess is 25-30 mil. He's young and already scoring.

He won’t be taking penalty duty off Luka in any case!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

On a loan seems like sensible business as long as its
's for season. If I were in charge I'd test Bournemouths resolve and put a cheeky bid in for Solanke. 10 million plus add ons. Scored a few at end of last season.

I read somewhere (probably on the Beeb) that Liverpool may be having second thoughts about loaning Brewster out. They may decide to include him in their squad for the coming season.

I may have misread the article, though, as I only skimmed it.

Scored 3 in his last 4 games.
Only scored 4 goals all season in 36 matches.

Tekkers is staying.

Strikers we are/were looking at

Toney - Heading to Brentford
Watkins - Still Interested
Eduard - Still interested
Mateta - In talks all about the fee
Batsman - Still interested trying to get Chelsea to lower fee or we take over his wages on remaining 12 months
Abraham - Could leave Chelsea

We will see.

Fraser I am expecting us to sign early next week unless something happens over the weekend with Newcastle.

Thanks dazza

I dont rate Abraham, I think he needs top class players around him to shine. He didnt do alot at Swansea.

Whaat? He was 20 years old. He did better than all the 20 year old center forwards in the past decade.

Cool list. I was actually trying to come up with the ones the club was after myself. I think you might have missed Josh Maja and Rhian Brewster. At least, I hope that you missed Maja, cause from all on that list, I find him the most cost effective one, even though Edouard or Batshuayi have a different statute.

Abraham...whaaaat?? Why? He scored like 17 goals for Chelsea last season or something like that. Is he unhappy because of Giroud? I couldn't see them letting him go for less than 40-50 million, for me he is one of the best center forwards to come through the youth system: strong, fast, good eye for goals.

Benteke staying not sure how good a thing is. Hopefully the manager knows better and Christian will work hard and find his form again.

We were about to buy Solanke but he failed a medical so we pulled out but Bournemouth took a risk and bought him even though he was injured at the time

I'll hit the roof if we bring in Abraham, and gladly bend over and spread my cheeks for Dougie.

Many thanks. It looks like he's recovered form and fitness at Bournemouth. Seems to me he might be worth putting on a shortlist of possible strikers? Mateta appears to have been on it. And hopefully Mattel's recommendation of Marja.

My understanding is that we we wanted to bring Solanke in on the loan, not a perm deal.

As for Abraham, that could also only be a loan if Chelsea were prepared to let him go. Lampard has been critical of him and you could argue that the best way for him to develop is to be playing every week. That's far from guaranteed at Chelsea.
