Comes on and ruins the shape. I think knocking the ball up to the "big man up front" is a one-dimensional tactic, and a thankless task when there are no supporting runners. This isn't to excuse Benteke's glaring misses or his questionable attitude - I think we look better with a more mobile striker up front - AJ, Dougie, Wright are good examples

All this arguing between fellow Hol'ers and you no what, Benteke is to blame for all of it. The so-called "big man" has caused ruptions between us all. Good riddance to countless mis-contributions and unimpressive performance's and it could cost us dearly.

Its a bit like politics, everyone has a different opinion on benteke, hennesey, punch and wardy to name a few, few plus one actually, but this thread is just going round in circles, i for one pay my money and appreciate what i see them all doing most of the time, its the nature of the game they are going to get lucky/unlucky, have good/bad games, miss sitters or let a howler in, its obvious to us all watching at the game or on tv that we would have buried the ball in the back of the net, or dived and saved that shot, but the players obviously aren"t as good as us! I for one am happy with the way the team unity is pulling us in the right direction, it baffles me why so many like to be negative on here instead of looking back to the first seven games and rejoicing how well the team have performed, to a man!

I have said this for a while, we have always had mobile forwards for as long as i can remember... sure, we played the hold up game, but we always had strikers that were nippy. Even shipperly put in a shin now and then.
This was once a quality forum.... |

I see that we are planning to sell Benteke. I think this is a good thing. For whatever reason he hasn’t worked out for us. Even if we get half our money back it will be for the best. He has proven to be a very expensive error.

The only way we will get more than half our money back is if he goes to China
walking down the holmesdale road to see the palace aces! |

A couple of weeks ago I read that Marseille were interested in him, the figure being 20 million euros. I'd see this as a right result, if it were to be at all true.

Why mention politics with football.???? The whole team have pulled in the right direction to get over them first 7 matches, and done a great job getting back on track but the injury crisis has nearly crippled us. It's been off and on all way through and obviously we should have been in a better position in the league than where we are now, it's been a rough ride along the way letting in soft goals and lost when we all no we should have won matches. The defence and midfield have played a blinder to create chances for the forwards, but the defence rely on the forwards to put the ball away just to take the pressure off them, that's why some fan's are sick of seeing missed chance's going begging to be put away. That's where Benteke is in the wrong by not doing just that, it's not right on the whole team they've done there job to the best of their ability and want him to do his bit his job. You can't blame anybody else for his miss-givings that's why he's got to go some fan's might disagree but i think most fan's want him to go and im one of them.

The politics was about how everyone has a different view and probably think their"s is right, just as people on here have a different view on tekkers, and also think they are right, and your point about defenders wanting him up top scoring is a good one, only he can often be found doing their job defending, and a goal not conceded is equally important as a goal scored! Basically, theirs more to his game than scoring goals, and thats the point lots on here dont want to admit,,,,,in my opinion!

130k a week, for the penalty debacle against Bournemouth and the lack of effort week after week. He goes up for a header and gives away a foul every time, offside frequently, no pace, no first touch. Looked a million dollars at Villa, could not cut it at Liverpool and has gone downhill ever since. Time to offload, does not deserve another chance next season.
