Its really naive to look at 'this time last season' when circumstances are completely different.
Lets take a look after 38 games eh? Thats all that really matters.

I agree some teams start slow and are very good at the end or the other way around this is sort of the way we was.

The whole 38 games is what matters not a handful and the earliest i would say to worry is close to Xmas if not getting results still.

The person you was responding to is a muppet i wouldn't even give them any attention.

The lack of news is a thing to be worried about it is very difficult to keep info private when it comes to transfers and we do not appear to have any news apart from CG still trying to do deal.

Looks like Sarr deal is dead as well which does not surprise me Palace keep trying to reduce prices and Watford was clear they want close to 25m also they have lost some players so will not want another to go easily.

I can see a loan deal and maybe some cheap players that are squad players or we will wait until next window. ()I hope im wrong)

Allegedly been on our radar previously. If we have been stalling on this because of Gallagher, that is inexcusable. We should have gone all out for this guy at the same time as Doucoure.
Incoming message from SP “ we tried for several but the market, you know and little time to complete deals”
Have been a supporter of SP but this is wearing thin, bearing in mind our other owners have put millions into purchasing other clubs and have tried to spend billions on Chelsea

Read my post properly, when did I say this time last season, I stated we are 12 goals and 4 assists down from last season. Those goals haven't been replaced, we are relying on Eze and Olise to start chipping in at some Stage.

I thought the transfer deadline was August 31. Evidently, I was mistaken.

I really think it was a case of sticking all our eggs in 1 basket spider. There is no way we can get this sort of deal done in such a short space of time. I think its now a case of seeing where we are in January, reevaluate the situation then.

Bank Holiday Monday normally puts it back a day.

Let me offer another scenario which is very negative but not beyond CPFC Management. Stonewall. Pretend to be fighting to buy recruits to keep the supporters happy, but all the time wanting to pocket the cash and just avoid relegation to stay in the PL cash cow. "Oh, gee, sorry guys, bad luck mates, the deals unfortunately fell through and we are so gutted". I wouldn't put it past Parish and Co. 10 years in the PL and supporters are still made to feel that "There's no Money". Hope it's not the case, but apart from last year when RH left and PV arived, CPFC Management, every year, did sweet F-all to make us competetive for a top ten-six spot. Season after season we barely got by. I do hope I'm wrong. Every other team spends money but that isn't the way at CPFC. Hope I am wrong.

This time of year, and this particular day, seem to drive some supporters crazy. It is so easy to spend someone else's money, so easy to believe rumours mostly spread by agents, so easy to think anyone but Parish and Dougie could do a better job. We have signed a number of players early in the window, including our main midfield target who has settled in really quickly. We have signed a goalie who is likely to be first choice within less than a season. We have signed an 18 year old future star who chose us over Manchester United. We have signed a versatile defender who can offer cover in lots of positions. We still have two loan spots that may or may not be filled today.

Just chill out and enjoy our tenth successive season in the top division, our recent influx of young exciting players, our (possibly unexpected) quick improvement under an unproven manager, and supporting a well run solvent club.
