I like a leader to be strong. Someone like Pol Pot or Idi Amin. Trump is quite liberal in a lot of ways, personal freedoms and small state being examples. Not so much when it comes to the immigrants and the gays though.

It’s a great point. Politicians mainly achieve f-all. Especially at the minute. People need to chill out & realise it’s all just a sideshow to their lives. Don’t give up your life to being a political stereotype, it’s so dull.

Ever noticed how there is a worldwide pandemic happening right now? I have no problem with mail in voting. The reason? The reason is there is ZERO evidence of systemic voter fraud connected to mail in ballots (or otherwise) in the history of the United States. You probably know more about it than me, but wasn't the Bush election one that had bulk votes coming in at the end in Florida or something like that? It took a month or two to sort it out? There was some kind of controversey for a couple of others too: off the top of my head Kennedy and Nixon? Again, I'm no expert.

Not the adjective I would use! I have seen that statement which, even by his low standards, was completely ridiculous. He made claims that have no known foundation and has stirred up a load of Trump supporters who are now behaving in a threatening way. I hope that in time he faces some charges over this.

I have no idea if these claims are true but especially worrying is not being able to observe. I have worked on counts in the UK when the ballot boxes arrive and are accepted and opened and then counted this is in full view of all of the parties representatives. Then when we counted them they are looking over your shoulder and are inches away if they want to be. If that really is not happening then that is inexcusable. Even if there is no voter fraud going on "Caesar's wife has to be above suspicion" Edited by Badger11 (05 Nov 2020 5.31pm) They are being scrupulously observed. I heard one of the senior state officials describing it earlier. It's impressive. It varies a little by state but the reason it is taking so long is the care being taken. The only court case so far that the Republicans have won is to allow their observers in one state to stand closer. There really is though nothing to see here. Literally.
