'Dozens of Rwandans granted asylum in UK as Suella Braverman's safety claim savaged'. Really she is a half-wit and making the UK look ridiculous.

Yet there are those, including some here, who think she would make a good prime minister. The best thing to come out of her current position is that possibility must have faded. I am not so against the idea of depositing unsuccessful asylum seekers in a sufficiently unattractive place to deter them from making the journey. Unlikely as that is to succeed given the level of need that drives them. You would though have thought somewhere more appropriate than Rwanda could be found. Someone moderately safe, with lots of space but still unattractive and populated by unwelcoming tribes. North Cambridgeshire immediately comes to mind. No need to buy airfares. Just an old bus will do.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

With a relative absence of women & children living nearby - just for safety reasons. Edited by PalazioVecchio (22 Aug 2023 6.09pm)

Have they sunk all them dingys/boats yet? If not, why not?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

The government's controversial Bibby Stockholm barge for asylum seekers has been listed on a travel website for £86 per night. The listing was uploaded a week after 39 asylum seekers were evacuated from the vessel on 11 August over fears of Legionella bacteria. The incident, which occurred just days after the migrants arrived, prompted widespread criticism of the Home Office's handling of the scheme. The tories are just a joke.

Shocking. If only there was the remotest chance that this listing was some kind of hoax. Just more proof of why no one ever wants to come to this awful country.

Not bad but Cornwall would be better then build a wall across from ilfracombe. Much too pretty here. With the added benefits of cream teas and pasties you wouldn’t be getting rubber boats crossing to Dover you would get pirates hijacking cruise ships and docking in Falmouth.
